Air J is a Belgian drum & bass artist who discovered the genre at the age of 16. Now 41 years old, he has devoted 25 years of his life to exploring the darkest and most intense facets of this music.

Passionate about the raw energy of reworked breaks, he draws inspiration as much from the power of Amen Breaks as from the harshness of hardcore and techno sounds. His productions combine sharp rhythms with hypnotic leads, creating an atmosphere where apocalyptic moods and immersive tension meet.

After several years of inactivity due to professional reasons, Air J returns with the solo track Kick Snare Insane and the collaborative track Blinded, made with Peter Kurten and The 3Eyed, released on June 30, 2025, on the Future Sickness Records. These tracks mark an important step in his journey and announce a series of even darker and more visceral creations. Since his return to the scene, Air J has been active both in his solo projects and in multiple collaborations, including with Section 63, Alex Phylasys, Kryzys, The 3Eyed, and Peter Kurten, a Belgian artist with whom he has a perfect creative synergy. Their shared influences and mutual understanding result in powerful, dynamic, and cohesive productions, where each track reflects their combined musical identity.

Air J has shared the stage with iconic drum & bass DJs and producers, performing across multiple countries in Europe as well as throughout Belgium. He has also released tracks on several labels, most of which no longer exist, and now collaborates with labels such as Future Sickness, Therapy Sessions, Evil Beats, Darkstep|Implantant, ZooBass, and Mortalic. These experiences have allowed him to broaden his musical horizon while staying true to the most extreme essence of drum & bass.
