Gohda - For Awhile...

SANKT continues the new Crux singles series with its eyes and heart firmly on (imaginary) dancefloors. “Crux II: Angles Morts” serves up bending and twitching breakbeat contortions, glitchy abstractions and desolate atmospherics. Wiry subterranean clunks announce 'Angles Morts' by Sankt, the second part of our ongoing Crux singles series. Bending and twitching, these throbs manifest as shapeshifting jungle contortions, sometimes cheeky, but mostly less so. Demented choral phrases underline the wobble and bluster, before a desolate pad motif is woven into its fabric, giving the push and pull a more sullen tone. 

On the singles more explorative B-side, Thousand Yard Stare, ambient roil and spalls of turmoil take turns. Here, scuttling and filtered drums dance around frosty dub-techno atmospherics, only to erratically and like a force of nature break into bursts of breakbeat recoil. Towards the end, both sides collapse into each other, and as the hissing seams fall apart, only ambience remains. Follow the Buy link to pre-order on bandcamp, Out October 14th!

Succeeding the various artist compilation ‘FT ON NINA 02‘ in December 2023, Paris-based imprint @frenchtabloid return with the collaborative ‘Pilgrim‘ EP – courtesy of misfit duet VOOR and Reark.

Following previous appearances on Funkysouls and French Tabloïd, NYC-based producer VOOR joins forces with London-based sound provider Reark for four tracks of serene contemplation. With the ‘Pilgrim‘ EP, the duo presents a digital fantasy filled with laidback electronica and mindless experimental.
