Turbo Warehouse Series continues with this pair of bombs from Gingy & Bordello, backed by a killer remix from Robert Hood.

Gingy & Bordello have, more than their New Jack Techno peers, kept their eyes trained on the co-ed club dance floor. The magic here is that although this is warehouse-tough and head-noddingly well produced, these tracks stay sexy and appeal to more than just a boiler-room sausage-fest of fans - this is booty shaking club music with broad appeal… That's right, ladies…

Saturday Night Fervor silkily wraps itself around wiggly disco-inflected samples that guarantee hand raising and foot stomping in equal measure. This is the kind of fun, soulful, inclusive party bomb that makes the world go round.

All Day pulls off a similar trick by extracting maximum vibe from a tiny vocal sample, this time laying it over a harder-edged beat constructed from finely tuned kicks, crisp layered hats, and a killer hook of a bass line. This is a pec-pumping, ass bumping groove, a rock-solid house you could jack in ALL day.

As if these two bombs weren't enough of a workout, we called in legendary producer Robert Hood, fresh off releasing a new LP as Floorplan, to transport things into the Detroit dimension with hypnotic stabs, slamming rides and extended vocals.

Starting the fall lineup for 2013 we’ve got an absolute scorcher from Oklahoma based Rule of Eight. Taking electro house by the horns and kicking it square in the face, the young producer is quickly making a name for himself amongst the ever competitive scene; furthermore, Celadon may be his most impressive example.

Pounding drums attempt to escape a howling synthesized build, but prove to be incapable as it only sheds light on a massive drop into 8-bit mayhem. Following the first display of bass, Blake drops the tempo and lets his drum design unload at a lower BPM. Results have been witnessed during a Tommie Sunshine Brooklyn warehouse set. Also included with the release is a Monolith remix that skillfully adds his dub influences to the original, all the while carrying main synth leads reinvigorated.

GREG WILSON’S EARLY 80’S FLOORFILLERS: 
A fascinating insight on how the fading Jazz-Funk scene gave way to the emerging Electro-Funk movement in the early 80’s, ‘Greg Wilson’s Early 80’s Floorfillers’, marks the 30th anniversary of when these tracks first appeared. Compiled from his record lists of the time, and unfolding month by month, Greg Wilson counts down the Top 10 Floorfillers played at his venues during the key years of ’82 and ’83. Featured, most notably, on his Tuesday sessions at Wigan Pier and Wednesday gatherings at Legend in Manchester, the most cutting-edge weekly black music nights of the era, these were the clubs most associated with the evolving Electro-Funk sound.

The majority of music played on the black scene in the UK was initially only available on import, mainly out of New York during this period, with the club nights described as ‘upfront’, meaning that the DJ’s were way ahead of the curve – what they played now, others played later, or not at all. Without these DJ’s, many now classic dance tracks would never have become UK hits (many without enjoying similar crossover success in the US) – the reason they were released here in the first place was because these specialist DJ’s were breaking them via the underground.

Things would change in a big way during those 2 years; we were entering the hybrid age for dance music, and the oncoming House and Techno and Hip Hop directions would all owe a huge debt to this era of dance alchemy and groove experimentation.

If you know our history, you know that we've been good friends and worked together for a long time. I've looked up to his work ethic for years, and I can comfortably say that I would not be where I am without his advice, encouragement and overall consistent influence on my own perspective of sound.

Dutch phenomenon, Hardwell, releases a riveting teaser video for his new single, "Countdown" with MAKJ, out soon via Revealed Recordings. After releasing his firing edit of Blasterjaxx's "Fifteen," he quickly turns around an exhilarating new original in collaboration with the Los Angeles-based rising star, MAKJ. Ever since "Countdown" was dropped during his acclaimed set at Ultra Music Festival 2013, Hardwell has established the song as a peak-time secret weapon in his performances all summer, thus becoming one of his most highly anticipated tracks. With the new single as the soundtrack, the teaser video shows the sold-out Go Hardwell Or Go Home event at the Palladium in Los Angeles that saw MAKJ as support.

Hardwell brings on the burgeoning talent, MAKJ, to foster an explosive new sound that has been tested and proven throughout this year. As the teaser video runs through scenes of Los Angeles and the Palladium show, "Countdown" takes shape with a soft melody line that opens up to a lush chorus of synth strings on top of drums. Then the hard kicks and horn-like synth burst through with brute force taking the energy level to new heights. Following the main segment, it reaches a super charged climax as the second drop moves in with an added synth for full effect. The fact that "Countdown" has been one of the most buzzed about tracks for months is a testament to Hardwell's signature, festival anthem sound has been manifested at its fundamental core time and time again.
