The Italian duo of Noha and Alex Tea have been crafting intricate club ready weapons for quite some time and have collaborated on many releases, most notably on Noha’s Panick Panick! Imprint. The connection stretches back much further as the two artists have been friends for many years with the first Pathagonia release “Chi Ci Pensa“ EP landing on the aforementioned label. From there, the direction has been set between the dancefloor and the stars and everywhere in between as their output has graced the vinyl sleeves of lauded imprints such as Yoyaku and Visionquest with much more top shelf music in the works.

Further cementing their more direct approach to the dancefloor, Pathagonia are straight out of the box with a slew of tightly woven peak time house bits. Angular basslines, crisp percussion and lush soundscapes are put to excellent use here. If you are looking for an insistent soundtrack, Pathagonia have this exceedingly well covered. Never letting the energy levels drop below that of a low boil, the Italians are on fire from the first beat to the last.

Co-founder of the respected Zaza Island events, Roni Amitai has grown as an artist almost as quickly as her rapidly expanding record collection. Having been looking to bring Roni to the fold for some time now, we are happy to present her mix for your listening pleasure. Clocking in at just under 2 hours long, Roni is able to begin her trip with a smooth selection of 90’s dreamy house jams before peppering more underground sounds around the decks. Like the guests she welcomes on a regular basis Roni quickly moves through the gears and even drops back a few in order to take off in a different direction. This mix is definitely one for the diggers with an ear for 90’s house and techno, you won't be disappointed.

1. What was a scorching moment on the dance floor that made you fall in love with Electronic music?

My relationship with electronic music began long before I ever set foot into a club so I guess I can tell you about a More recent moment that made me fall even deeper in love. One particular moment stands out vividly in my memory and that was Fumiya Tanaka's set at UN_MUTE's Perlon party Art Basel 2022. Complete masterclass and still to this day is one of my favorite sets from the last years that has truly re inspired me.

2. Do you like the combination of chocolate and spice?

YES! IT'S ACTUALLY IT'S ONE OF THE BEST COMBINATIONS BECAUSE OF THE CONTRAST OF FLAVORS AND SENSATION.
AT FIRST BITE YOU GET SWEET RICHNESS OF THE CHOCOLATE AND THEN COMES THE HEAT FROM THE CHILI ADDING DEPTH WITH A SOME TINGLE ON THE TASTE BUDS. THE CHOCOLATE'S SWEETNESS TAMES THE CHILI'S HEAT, CREATING A WELL-ROUNDED COMBINATION OF FLAVORS.

  3. What’s your favorite hot sauce at the moment? 

TOO MANY TO NAME BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE RIGHT NOW IT WOULD BE LION'S MANE PIRI PIRI FROM THE HEARTBEAT HOT SAUCE COMPANY, IT'S ONE OF THE MOST ADDICTING
