Phage Thursday Night Mix (Burning Man 2011)

Friday 2am on the Forest Stage, Priceless 2016.  

Priceless sets are always the most fun to prepare.  The Forest Stage is a unique venue where I can truly play from the heart and share the music that most resonates with me.  This mix is also a step forward for me musically, as it is the culmination of several months of work in retooling my DJ setup.  The tracks below were blended together with much more improvisation than I have managed in the past, and with my own added musical elements and effects.  I played this set on an analog mixing console, so the recording is completely "live" and has not had the spit and polish I typically apply to my mixes before releasing them online.  But even in its raw and unedited form I'm proud of the result.  I hope you enjoy listening!

Forest Stage Mix (Priceless, July 2017)

One of my first original productions. Instruments used include Elektron Analog RYTM and Analog Four, and the Moog Sub37, plus others (maybe iPad apps?) I don't remember. Patterns were programmed ahead of time, and then improvised live and recorded into Ableton as a starting point for mixing and mastering the final track.
