Delicious Mixture Vol. 12

Stoked to present my opening set for Chrysalis 2022 – an intentional gathering to cultivate community, connection and consciousness in the forest of Salmo, BC. 

I was joined by Dave on native flute, guitar and ronroco and I also played didje, vocals and drums. Unfortunately, all we were able to capture in the recording was my vocals but it was a great honour to be invited to open the festival again.

This mix is an exploration of Bass in many different styles. This has been a fun journey putting this one together and I am loving where all these styles are heading.

We crawled through the Rabbit Hole with Sickest House on Easter Sunday for a twisted adventure of Fashion and a variety of Bass through 24 Moons. 🌒
The Catwalk had performances from Naarms local talented designers showcasing their pieces all complimented with Bass producers both interstate and local. 😻🎭
This was held for your visual delight and expressive entertainment alongside our freshly retouched immersive installations and collaborative environments accompanied by Culture Jam. - Yeah..

Priceless Festival 2023 (Live @ Dirt Stage)

For the second consecutive year I had the great privilege and joy of collaborating with my dear friend Lo on a movement workshop for Bass Coast, with our workshop taking place on Saturday afternoon at The Cabin stage. This set was performed live, in sync with Lo's facilitation with the aim of working through a variety of tempos, genres and energy levels. I am so grateful for all who joined us, and for Lo's invitation to build this together. I am so happy with the resulting mix and I truly hope that it may end up contributing to your movement/embodiment practice. 

Workshop description: 
Get your energy moving with a delicious, full-body dynamic movement practice! Enjoy bassy flowing sequences with inspiration from Vinyasa Yoga, then turn it up with some sweaty dance-fitness. Then we ground it back down, touch into a bit of core strengthening, and top it off with an easeful and relaxing stretch. With a live DJ set flowing through a range of ambient to bassy and danceable beats, this session invites you to connect to community and yourself as you get a full body tune-up and tune-in. Bring a yoga mat if you can!

Facilitators Biographies:

Lo (they/she) is a lover of movements and thrives in the juicy space where art meets activism. With 14 years of teaching experience, they are trained in a range of embodiment modalities including yoga, pilates, dance, and fitness. They are also a social justice educator/facilitator, life coach, and clinical counsellor in training. Based in the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, Lo's teaching style strikes a unique balance of grounded depth and light-hearted play.
