Astronox Festival in Texas, October 2022. A rare thing occurred - I got to play a two-hour closing set at the end of the insanely inspiring lineup of Saturday night, before a morning sound break. There are some major wiggles in this set, of the crunchy/glitchy variety, in keeping with the flow for the night. Ending with some gentle touches, like a sonic hug.

The full blood moon eclipse was spectacular to view deep in the Mojave Desert on Nov 8th, 2022! I was so lucky the sky was clear for my night time techno set, but even more lucky the rain stopped for my daytime closing PheuZen set!!! I'm happy to present to you Blood Moon Breaks!!!

"keerd is fascinated by how music influences the environment around us - how it sets the scene and tells a story that reflects the writer's emotions or experiences in unique ways. With the California Bay Area native's background in sound design, he has been perfecting his craft in electronic music for over a decade. This multi-genre producer strives to tell stories through his music and mixes, taking the listener on a kinetic yet spacious journey with his original sounds and movements. This is a mix dedicated to a beautiful friend who recently moved away from Nelson to the coast. The dance floor is where we met and our friendship grew into brotherhood. So grateful for all the groovin' we've squeezed into the time we've known each other. C-love LOVES the bangers, so this one is a lil' rowdy. Much love to y'all and to the people you may find yourself missin' on the D floor from time to time. I know that there are many others who I’ve shared a dance with that I miss, so this is for y’all too. Special shoutout to the legend @SunnyAcres for the bomb track Pick M e. This collection of atmospheric deepstep tracks is further along on the continuum of the Subtextures compilation that I put together for Interchill Records back in 2016. It took a few years to assemble and was made for the digital artist Android Jones (www.androidjones.com) who generously let us use a piece of his phenomenal art for the Subtextures cover design. 

Respect and praises to all of the artists and labels who put out such wickedly chill tunes. Much gratitude to J. Job for the finishing touches.

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE

Who doesn't love a good house party? This was an opening set for such a setting, celebrating a dear friend's birthday while cocktails and dinner were served. Later on, dancing commenced. But for now - classy tunes and sumptuous beats.
