Originally a dancefloor addict attending events in her native country of NZ & inspired by many friends who are DJs, Maree J moved to Brisbane, Austrailia in late 2019 and began learning to DJ with Christian Kerr at DJ Lab. Maree Js interest in all types of music has seen her play across the sonic spectrum traversing various house genres such as deep, progressive and melodic house and techno and downtempo grooves. Maree Js careful song selection and masterful set curation ensures you will be taken on a sonic journey wanting more. Maree J has had the pleasure of playing for various events and festivals such as Ctrl and Melbourne based progressive house DJ Mike Rish, The 8 Mile Yacht Club at Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival, Earth Frequency Festival and Local bush doofs such as Sacred Hills 2.0. Maree J is also a regular member of Chicks and Decks playing at meet ups and events across Brisbane and supporting up and coming female DJs.  Over the past 12 months Maree J began exploring her love of deep and filthy 140 dubstep and wobbly basslines as Alias ConVergence. Maree Js  musical influences are vast ranging from artists  such as Timo Maas, Stan kolev, Matan Caspi, Artbat and Zigan Aldi to Alix Perez, Visages, The Widdler, Leon Switch and Truth.
