Dear friends, this song may seem a little bit weird.
I wrote it after a difficult struggle against several different passwords.
I am so fond of making self ironic songs - just for fun!
Among the worst is when you are logged out! So hard to be able to log in again, which can take forever! We older people also spend a lot of time looking for various things!

Not so easy for us Old

The times have changed for all of us somewhat older 
people who struggle along with all modern facilities around us
This morning I tried to open
the oven for to bake some bread for my wife and for me
but the child safety lock was too tough for me
It isn’t so easy for all of us old these days

When I was a child I used to call all my friends with an 
ordinary telephone but the modern equipment is too tiny for me
I’m just messing around with tiny knobs at the front
and lots and lots of strange messages are sent to me each day
and I don’t know what to do with them 
It isn’t so easy for all of us old these days


You should have seen me when I am going to 
back out my brand new car and if I am too close to my neighbors car
then all hell will break loose for me
it flashes and it squeals in every corner of my newly bought car 
now I think I will pick up my old car again

"Backfire" is a song about false friends and wishing that their toxic shoots fire back at them. However, your wish stays a wish, because your pride and dignity keeps you from causing harm. 
Lemonbrew started the collaboration with a catchy and energetic rock progression. I rearranged the song and wrote lyrics and a vocal melody. Later, Flinn joined us to rock out the vocals. Thank you very much for collaborating, it's been a lot of fun!

Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, or emotions to non-human entities or objects. It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology. Anthropomorphism is a common way humans perceive and interact with the world around them.

The Earth is made of rock, from the tallest mountains to the floor of the deepest ocean. Thousands of different types of rocks and minerals have been found on Earth. Most rocks at the Earth's surface are formed from only eight elements (oxygen, silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and sodium), but these elements are combined in a number of ways to make rocks that are very different.  Rocks are continually changing. Wind and water wear them down and carry bits of rock away; the tiny particles accumulate in a lake or ocean and harden into rock again. The oldest rock that has ever been found is more than 3.9 billion years old.

Humanity has made use of rocks since the earliest humans. This early period, called the Stone Age, saw the development of many stone tools. Stone was then used as a major component in the construction of buildings and early infrastructure. 

Rocks are commonly divided into three major classes according to the processes that resulted in their formation. These classes are (1) igneous rocks, which have solidified from molten material called magma; (2) sedimentary rocks, those consisting of fragments derived from preexisting rocks or of materials precipitated from solutions; and (3) metamorphic rocks, which have been derived from either igneous or sedimentary rocks under conditions that caused changes in mineralogical composition, texture, and internal structure.

It’s difficult for people to escape doubt. No matter how good things may seem at any point in our lives, there are always moments of concern, of counter-thought and worry that lurk in the shadows of our imagination. Few things are without blemish and most of us can be unforgiving in the presence of imperfection. Thus, the shadows and the darkness that seeks to stifle the light.

Bruce Klepper is a Colorado based composer. Klepper writes music in a number of different styles, including contemporary classical music, jazz, soundscapes using field recordings, ambient music, and ballet music.  Klepper has been composing music for Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org) since 2016. Klepper has been collaborating with Parlando School of Musical Arts (www.parlando.org) faculty Britta De Groot and Sergei Govorov, composing and arranging new music for the dynamic piano and saxophone duo to premier around the United States. Klepper's music premiered in Carnegie Hall, September 2022.  Klepper's music can be heard on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud. 

Klepper studied music composition in the 1970's and received a degree in music composition and theory.  After writing music for many years and starting a tech company based in Colorado, Klepper retired in 2014 from business so he could devote myself to his true passion, composing music.
