the corona virus it sneaks into human society
very strange times
Insects die, rivers get dirty
and now it's just happened to us
And everything breaks down and nothing works no more
capitalist society has it got completely
and you don’t know, is it the virus or it's from us

And everyone has to be very disciplined now
no one is allowed to hug another
The bees can't find their honey anymore
The trees dry up and the birds cannot find their home
And we, we humans, suddenly get scared
Now we humans have really got it
and suddenly some of them still won't believe
that something's going wrong here, in our world, and how we exploit it

And what can we learn from this, if we do learn anything at all, if we ever understand anything
Yeah, what can we learn from it, or do we want to learn anything? 
If we're intelligent -
no, what are we humans actually stupid
We sit here and waste our earth and wonder if nothing works.
Then we wonder, but not about what we failed to live here in this life
Yeah I'm pretty pissed off and sad and I'm shamed, that it had to come to this,
before I may leave this world.

In 1978 I married the girl of my dreams. The year before that I thought I'd try my hand at writing a love song for our Wedding. I was 19 at the time. It was  the first time I ever attempted that as a matter of fact. At the very bottom of my Soundcloud page you will see that song (For You). This year I decided to see if I could update it a bit for our 42nd Anniversary. This is the result. Thanks for listening.

here is my last composition, it is for the audiokeys competition, the theme is simple : compose a track in a funky or electro type including the accordeon instrument.
for the accordeon i use goliath from the EW composer cloud, i add a distortion, a bitcrusher and a little delay on it
the other instrument is synth sound, korg mini pops, some sound from the synthmaster player , the rythm is a korg electrib ER1, and the vocoder speech is sampled from my toys speak and math from texas instrument

Based on Mozart's Requiem in D minor, Sequentia, Introit (3rd movement). This is the last piece that Mozart composed but was unfinished at his death on December 5th 1791. Mozart finished the first movement of the Mass, the Introit, but starting with the Kyrie (2nd movement) and the Sequentia (3rd movement) Mozart only left detailed drafts for the music.

The "arrow of time" is the concept positing the "one-way direction" or "asymmetry" of time. It was developed in 1927 by the British astrophysicist Arthur Eddington, and is an unsolved general physics question.  The concept of the "arrow of time" says that entropy (a gradual decline into disorder) tends to increase with time and implies that time is asymmetrical and as a system advances through time, it becomes more statistically disordered.  Scientists believe that the "arrow of time" began at the Big Bang and that entropy is increasing as we move forward in time into the future.

With the confinement we where forced to do, everyone told me, Joé, take this time to compose music, do what you love... Having been very busy with work, i was eager to make new music.....But, blank.... I had a total creative block, writer's block, call it what you want, i was there, all the time in the world for music but no 'juice', nothing... No inspiration was coming from the world's events....At all!
Anyway, after a while, i just 'pressed play' like i say in the song. I just did something and it led to this, basically a song about writer's block. It all started from a bass line, then acoustic guitar, then i wrote words and tried them on the music, one step at a time, i was back at what i liked, creating! 
Now, confinement is over, work has started again, less time for music....Again...
But, this is not the only track i made during this time, i now have many little unfinished tracks, just waiting for me to finish them and post them, in time. 
A message for everyone, when trouble hits you, never stop your passion... It will save your life and mind. If you do not have a passion, find one...
Be kind, be safe, be creative.
All music performed live in my studio by me, bass guitar, acoustic guitar and drum sample mixing. Of course, i do the vocals! :)

Bruce Klepper is a Colorado based composer with thousands of listeners worldwide. Klepper studied music composition in the 1970's and received a degree in music composition and theory.  After writing music for many years and starting a tech company based in Colorado, Klepper retired in 2014 from business so he could devote myself to his true passion, composing music. Klepper's music premiered in Carnegie Hall, September 2022.  Klepper writes music in a number of different styles, including contemporary classical music, jazz, soundscapes using field recordings, ambient music, and ballet music.  Klepper has been composing music for Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org) since 2016. Klepper has been collaborating with Parlando School of Musical Arts (www.parlando.org) faculty Britta De Groot and Sergei Govorov for over a year now, composing and arranging new music for the dynamic piano and saxophone duo to premier around the United States. Klepper's music can be heard on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud.
