British/Swedish female four-piece Yassassin make unapologetic alt-indie rock music.

Having toured with the likes of Albert Hammond Jr (The Strokes), PINS, and shared stages with Echo & The Bunnymen, Dream Wife and The Garden, their fierceless live sets soon saw the band playing countless festivals across Europe.

With 3/4ths of the band uprooting from London to Margate in recent times, 2024 sees the quartet release their first new music since the big pause, giving us a shape of what's to come.

WELSHLY ARMS combines their love of blues with rhythm and soul & good ol’ rock and roll, to create a fresh throwback sound that represents their Midwestern roots. Comprised of Sam Getz (guitar/vocals), Brett Lindemann (keys), Jimmy Weaver (bass), Mikey Gould (drums) and Bri and Jon Bryant (bgv’s), Cleveland-based WELSHLY ARMS pays homage to many of their collective musical influences such as Jimi Hendrix, The Temptations, Otis Redding, and Howlin Wolf.

The power of their live show has quickly built them a dedicated following in Ohio and has set the stage for things to tip into a national following in 2016 with performances confirmed on/at The Rock Boat, SXSW, Summerfest, Austin City Limits, Laurel Live, the San Diego County Fair and more. Within the last year alone, their music has been featured in the movie trailer for the Jack Black Film “The D Train,” a national TV/radio campaign for the Cleveland Indians, the promo for the new Netflix show Sense8 and the movie trailer for the new Quentin Tarantino movie, Hateful Eight.

In August of 2016, WELSHLY ARMS will embark on The Tour De Compadres, supporting NEEDTOBREATHE and Mat Kearney on a 53 date tour across the US, hitting iconic venues such as Red Rocks and The Greek Theatre.

BETTY & OSWALD began when Claudia Schmidt and Pete Sotiropoulos were living in a small apartment by the ocean in the south of Sydney. Sleeping on a mattress they found on the side of the road, and spending their days writing music, the idea for Betty & Oswald began to slowly form. Fast forward a couple of years and the band has changed vastly from its seaside beginnings, the addition of bass and drums with Sammy Sudhakar and Harry Cramer heralding a new era for the band. Yet there is still something from that formative time that remains. There is a romanticism that lingers, an idealisation of youth and art, and also a pervading bittersweetness–a sense that everything, including that dream-like time spent living by the ocean, will fade eventually.
