this song is written from the perspective of someone who took their own life, acknowledging the impact it will have on the loved ones and anyone within the circle of said individual; it's a suicide letter - an apology for resorting to such extreme measures - full of self-pity and shame, albeit confessing to themselves and the audience they saw no other escape out of their misery and pain, knowing deep inside they would do it all again if given the chance to go back, as time could not fix what they believed it was always ruined to begin with.
