Since then, she's gone on to establish the BPitch Control label, launching the careers of Modeselektor and Apparat, also releasing a flurry of singles, EPs and albums of her own on the renowned imprint.

Whether you’re a techno loving tourist or a electronic music enthusiast born and bred in London the chances are at some point you’ve been Lost. No, we’re not talking about getting yourself in a drunken muddle on the tube and waking up in Ealing Broadway, we’re of course referring to seminal London night Lost in which the capital plays host to some of the worlds most talented artists.

Running since 1991, Lost has become a name synonymous with quality and longevity in an environment where amateur fly-by-night promoters come and go in the blink of an eye. Alongside partner Sheree Rashit, Steve Bicknell is a DJ and producer held in high regard from Detroit to Berlin to Blighty.

Next up, the deep-rooted, heavy-hitting Lost return to Fire, for their annual Easter all-nighter on April 19th with a line up that’s sure to turn heads of techno fans within London as making the long haul pilgrimage from New York, Detroit, and Chicago respectively are scene luminaries Jeff Mills, Francois K, Hieroglyphic Being and Tevo Howard.

So with anticipation high for the latest installment of Lost, we thought we’d hook up with veteran Lost DJ Steve Bicknell to deliver an exclusive mix for both your listening pleasure and to tide fans over until the next April 19th.

Calling Michael Mayer one of the most important people currently active in the electronic music industry would be far from a stretch. He's the co-founder of Kompakt, one of the biggest record labels and distribution agencies in the world (being home to over 50 independent record labels). Besides that, he's a very busy DJ and also a more than prolific producer, whose total number of remixes has surpassed the 140 mark already for instance.

To be able to be active and competent in so many fields, he maintains a tight and very regular schedule. We spoke to him about that, Amsterdam Dance Event and his family life and you can read all about that in the latest issue of DJ Mag NL. In the run up to his appearance at this year's Cocoon Ibiza season, Roman Fluegel has served up a nice juicy slice of what can be expected from his set.

One half of esteem electro act Alter Ego and a respected member of the Dial Records family alongside Lawrence and US musician John Roberts, these days Fluegel has a reputation for intricately crafted tech-tinged house, in part owing to the success of LP 'Fatty Folders', as well as even earlier releases 'How to Spread Lies' and 'Brasil'.
