Nacido en las afueras de São Paulo, Lucas Novaes es un DJ, Músico y Productor. Su estilo y búsqueda está basado en el EBM y el Dark Disco, géneros que se reflejan en la creación de sonidos influenciados por la atmósfera de los 80s. Emergiendo como un DJ pionero en fiestas alternativas de música electrónica en las áreas rurales de Sao Paulo, Lucas ha evolucionado a una nueva perspectiva del sonido, brindando música a ambientes que van más allá de la pista de baile. Como productor, se ha dedicado a lanzamientos en distintas latitudes. Sus melodías están esculpidas con sintetizadores arpegiados y secuencias que apuntan a un atmosfera cósmica e intensa. Following his debut album "WOMB" on X-IMG in 2024, Brussels-based OTTOMAN GRÜW returns with the "WOMB II" follow-up EP, showcasing his distinct industrial-leaning and destructive approach to electronic music once more. Two original tracks blend abrasive bass lines splayed across striding machine rhythms, layers of reverberated noise and distortion drenched vocals.

This follow-up release is expanded by four excellent remixes by UNCONSCIOUS (IT), EKATA (UK), VIDEOTRAUM (DE) and RICARDO LAINE (CAN). "WOMB II" ends with the sinister and hallucinatory-like ambient track “Born Again, Fragmented” While the previous album is more introspective and explores our relationship with the divine, intertwined with existential dread, "WOMB II" concisely embraces the other side - along the lines of madness, chaos, and the terrifying freedom that comes from tearing reality apart.

Rhys Fulber, a key figure in the industrial and electronic scene for his work with Front Line Assembly and Delerium, presents his new solo album, Memory Impulse Autonomy, under Artoffact Records. This work bridges his roots in the dark sound of the '80s (inspired by Cabaret Voltaire, Portion Control, and his fellow Skinny Puppy collaborators) with his evolution into contemporary industrial techno.

The album captures the creative essence of his early years, when he experimented with analog equipment in improvised sessions. "The title reflects those memories of musical discovery and the freedom to create without constraints," Fulber explains. The album features collaborations with avant-garde vocalists: William Maybelline (Qual) lends his signature brooding voice to The Abyss, Barkosina (Years of Denial) shines on the club track Only Love Will Save You, and Konstantin Unwohl adds depth to the industrial ballad Nichts Dafür Getan.

The cover art, designed by legendary artist Steven R. Gilmore (longtime collaborator with Skinny Puppy), pays homage to the genre's classic aesthetics. The album alternates between powerful cuts like Exlavier and more atmospheric moments like Further Back And Forward, showcasing Fulber's versatility.

It's a gift that producers as influential as Rhys Fulber continue to enrich our ears with new work, while also sharing their personal reflections on their current creative phase and new album.
