It’s about the constant struggle of not fitting in or being wanted by the people you truly care about; it’s about getting thrown away and just questioning oneself to the point that you just don’t care about anything anymore.

@xPOLLYx , born and raised in the countryside of north-eastern Italy, has always had a punk approach to music, initially playing guitar in various bands, moving from hardcore to sludge/stoner, up to having a drone doom solo project.
The passion for electronic music started during Covid, in the period of isolation, when he and @cumulonembicollective began to hold underground parties to express the sounds that defined this group: electro, ghetto, jungle and so on. 
His music, characterized by chaos and noisiness, deviates from the market standards by trying not to follow any pre-established line, thus blending the artist’s punk soul with electro sounds.

SCHWERER GUSTAV-DORA is an EP that wants to express this type of noisy vision of music by focusing on the speed of gabber in the first side, and then moving on to the slowness and heaviness typical of sludge metal in the second.

Oak's 'No Sunrise' assembles nine rediscovered tracks from Oak’s early Microfunk era — works that slipped between releases, vanished with old labels or lived on only in rumours. Most of the material traces back to around 2009, when Oak’s detailed, cinematic approach to drum and bass and forward-thinking electronic music quietly shaped the movement’s foundations. The clarity of his craft still stands out: fine-grained percussion, rich harmonic work and that unmistakable sense of space he carved into everything.

The collection folds in some of Oak’s most whispered-about works: Boxcutter’s rare remix, the alternate Firebird version and the long-mystified title track No Sunrise, known until now only from Commix’s Fabriclive mix. Alongside them sits Untold, written years later, darker than the rest, driven by thick low-end pressure and a murky halfstep groove wrapped in deep, dub-soaked atmosphere.

Paired with Ricky Trickartt’s sketch-led artwork in the spirit of the Lost Dubs series, the collection arrives as extra-limited 10-inch lathe cuts and high-grade RTM cassettes. A long-hidden chapter of Oak’s work finally made visible.
