Weeks before the release date of Mother Bass’ debut album, the band already received very favorable reviews on Dutch music platforms like 3voor12 and Metalfan.nl. The German website Musikreviews sees songwriter/guitarist Friso Woudstra as an upcoming rock visionary and Belgiums' Snoozecontrol dubbed the album 'an exceptional masterpiece'. The award-winning video clip (Akademia, USA) of debut single Silver Spoon was directed by Maurice Swinckels (Legion of the Damned) and was the first feat of a successful album-launch campaign. With influences like Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Stone Temple Pilots, this band mixes classic rock and alternative sounds to a unique blend: neo-grunge. The music of Mother Bass puts alternative rock/neo-grunge from Nijmegen (NL), back on top, and it's here to stay!. The band is known for its intense, electric live performances where rock tenor Daan Dekker exceeds all expectations. Bassist and rock 'n roll beast Roel van Erp grooves and moves with his shirt off. Meanwhile, drummer Roy Veltien meshes rock, metal, jazz and drum 'n bass rhytms together with ease.
