With his stripped-down emotional love for music and kind soul, Leipzig-bound beatsmith and all round top geezer Luvless has been steadily cementing his reputation as one of contemporary house music’s finest. The deep house music he’s constantly cooking is a true delight for the ears mind, the body and the soul as it sounds like an undefinable timeless trip. He is mostly known for his work with Rose Records – a label he started with four other friends back in 2011 – and a smattering of appearances on several other labels, slamming down dusty disco edits as well as athomspheric house belters. Since 2017 he’s been focussing on his new project Velours Records, a vinyl outlet for different avenues of the Luvless sound and guest appearances by friends. His music has been described as sweet, gentle even, but banging at the same time. It sometimes pays homage to the old Kerry days with extra magic dust sprinkled on top. You could listen to his products on such labels as Razor-N-Tape, Lüüd Disc or Blaq Numbers and many more.

 

Loyal to himself in this 1-hour mix, Luvless is slowly transitioning from slow-paced deep house beats to mesmerizing house vibes from DJ Psychiatre, Baltra or Benjamin Long. Perfect vibes for the incoming cold winter and end of the year.

LA based, London found label all my thoughts join forces with FLAU of Tokyo for a collaborative release, featuring FLAU label founder aus, who producers original cut ‘Until Then’, with Seb Wildblood stepping up to remix the track. The release represents an exchange of sounds and perspectives and is the first collaboration of its kind for both labels.

With the cinematic and sparkling new track ‘Until Then’, Japan’s electronic music treasure aus awakens from its long slumber to showcase its unique realm.

The original works from aus arrives as a rich blend of instrumentation coming from a plethora of global influences. Unique vocals partner with deep synth swells and a chugging percussive groove. The vocals — recorded, destructed and re-synthesised — point to his interest in language as the track, tropical and floating as it is dark and distorted, engines forward.

Seb Wildblood follows upping the energy with rolling hi hats and added synth work before sprinkling a dusting of acid as the remix evolves further onto the dance floor.

Since it's inception True Romance has consistently beamed balmy releases across jubilant dance floors and has acted as a platform for both established and auspicious artists. So far, records from the likes of Ben Gomori, Dan Corco, Jesse Bru and label head Tensnake have all worked to form a distinctive identity for True Romance - one that is defined by solid, functional House and Disco suffused with a lick of sunshine.

Next up is a single from Tulsa based DJ and producer: HeartWerk. Tagged as 'Moody House From Someone Who Cares', HeartWerk holds down a radio show at Vandelay and has a solid slew of floor fillers under his belt. His latest offering 'Tulsa In The House' evinces his sounds accurately as it packs a solid punch while remaining heady, emotive and full of soul.

'Celluloid' lays prickly 808 hats over an 80s sawtooth while spectral pads glide over head. Toms, claps and twinkling synths all intertwine as the track swirls along. 'Tropicaliente' then follows up with a potent, no nonsense House groove. Filtered stabs, irresistible bongos and delayed brass flashes pepper a vibe that is guaranteed to do damage on the floor. The title track then brings things to a conclusion with a straight up Chicago- tinged banger. Sharp 909s, vocal snips and a hypnotising synth line work to capture a pure but hedonistic jam - one that sits neatly into the True Romance catalogue.
