The exhibition was hosted by museums and festivals in Germany, Switzerland and the UK (ZKM Karlsruhe, CTM Berlin among other places)

The title track from Evan Parker's amazing 1988 solo saxophone recording PLUS six performers manipulating twelve mechanically controlled pecussion beaters across an array of table-top instruments. This is part of a larger project that attempts to find new ways of interacting with recordings, especially improvisations.

Ten thousand tapes releases a limited edition of one of a kind cassette tapes from various artists.

Generally when music is released, it comes in the form of CDs, vinyl records, and audio files which are all copies of the same master source.

The way our label works is different.
We dubb the master source to a cassette tape, then use the dubbed tape as the master for the next tape, which in turn is then used as the source for the next tape... Resulting in each tape to sound differently (each time a new copy is made, the audio quality is "degraded") thus making each a one of a kind copy. (It also comes with a download code for the original master source audio)
Each package has a unique serial number, and as this number increases, so will the difference between the master source and recorded copy.
Don't you wonder what kind of sound is recorded on the cassette tape you will get?

ten thousand tapesは様々なアーティストの「1点もの」のカセットテープ作品を限定本数でリリースします。

通常、音源のリリースと言うと同じマスターから複製されたCDやレコード、音源ファイル等を販売、発表することであると考えられます。
本レーベルではマスターからカセットテープにダビング、マスターからダビングされたテープをマスターにして更にダビング…というようにして製品を製作していきます。その製作工程ゆえにリリースするテープは一本一本違う音（一本作るたびに「劣化」した音）が収録される「1点もの」となります（ダウンロードコードがつきますので元々のマスターの音も聞くことができます）。

また、各パッケージにはナンバリングを施しますので、ナンバリングが後ろになればなるほど、マスターから離れた音になっていきます。
