IN BRIEF 
Renowned for their sublime, lyrical take on dance music, DC / Berlin based duo Benoit & Sergio return to their spiritual home of Visionquest with some freshly crafted groove ridden thrills. More set in the smoke and heat of the club than their vocalised bittersweet visions, the ‘Your Darkness’ EP showcases the duo at their dancefloor focused playful best whilst incorporating infectious vocal samples, searing melodies and pulsing rhythms. Opener ‘Splash’ is at once murky and tropical as the bassline grinds underneath light footed percussion whilst title track ‘Your Darkness’ is a deep and moody groover with signature rich synth work. Closing track ‘Beat Macho’ is a wayward beast with a darker edge and satisfyingly complex chugging framework that makes for a heady trip into the depths of the night.

 BACKGROUND
o+ Leaving an indelible mark on a selection of pioneering labels since 2009 - Spectral Sound, DFA, Hot Creations, Culprit and of course Visionquest have all fallen prey to Benoit & Sergio’s unique brand of sensuous electronics. The duo first appeared on Visionquest for the imprints’ inaugural release in 2011 ‘Where The Freaks Have No Name’ featuring the ubiquitous ‘Walk And Talk’ - a quintessential slice of romantic techno. Then in late 2012 the ‘New Ships EP’ further demonstrated the duo’s ability to mix visceral energy with the emotional.   

o+o Gaining the title of iTunes breakthrough electronic artists of the year in 2011 and featuring in RA’s best live act poll in 2011 and 2012, they also had the tracks ‘Everybody’, ‘Principles’, ‘Let Me Count The Ways’, and ‘Walk and Talk’ variously charted in top 20 year-end polls for Resident Advisor, Mixmag and DJ Mag. The duo have since been enlisted to remix heavyweights such as Matthew Dear, Metronomy, Hot Natured and covered Daft Punk.

o+o+ This year the duo is working on completing their long anticipated debut album co-produced with DARKSIDE aka Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, and set to be released on the magically diverse Other People imprint. A single will be dropped as a teaser in the not too distant future.

BIOGRAPHIE:
Mr. Mosebach, the finest Halle (Saale) mole ´79th year, stands since more than one decade behind the record plates. Besides, the musical spectrum of his tracks chosen to the play applies from Minimal-Techno via Deeptech up to sensitive House as well as Deephouse. One finds the sum of that in his sets with which he always wants to tell a story from topical and pastly days. However, from time to time he also spins to himself cleverly the future with tracks for the coming moment together. At the end his music is always on the point exactly that what has fitted, now fits and will fit.
So also in 2013, to the year in everything begins anew and he is ready with his first release on Pour La Vie for the music world.
In the home fields, the city of Halle, Hagen against it nobody is unknown more. His musical trip, also above the town walls away, will go on. No end, only country by view. The suitcases are packed, the shirt is ironed and the music hums in the ear.

HVOB – Dogs

It's the culmination of what has been a roller coaster debut year: the eponymous debut album by the phenomenal Vienna duo HVOB is a lesson in how versatile, intelligent and creative electronic music can be.

It's been just twelve months since the first snippets appeared on Soundcloud, during which time the young electronic duo HVOB (short for Her Voice over Boys) have been causing a real stir throughout Europe: "… this is what deep house sound should sound like. Pure love …" (hmwl.org, Sweden), "… sure to be spoken about …" (delicieuse-musique.com, France), "More please, and soon!" (thegap.at, Austria), "… sleek and beautifully crafted beats …" (electronicbeats.net, Germany). 

HVOB have been a hit with the most influential music blogs and with the public: acclaimed appearances at the likes of Germany’s MELT! Festival, number 4 in the Beatport Deep House charts with their debut EP "Dogs", number 10 in the Top Live Acts of the Year and number 11 in the Best Singles of 2012 in DE:BUG’s readers' poll. At the end of 2012, leading Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab used HVOB's music for the soundtrack of his collection video.

Vienna-born Anna Müller (composition, production, vocals) and Paul Wallner (composition and final production) are kicking off the second year of their collaborative project with another release, only this time with more than just tantalising snippets: their eagerly anticipated debut LP, "HVOB", released March 8, contains twelve tracks that showcase the duo's distinctive sound – intelligent and sophisticated, emotive and melodic. 

The opening track "Hold Your Horses" could be a signature tune for HVOB: organic beats, soft piano sounds and Anna Müller's stunning voice give way to compelling deep house. Further highlights of the album: scheduled for release in February, the single "Jack" with its emotive beats, the complex electronic ballad "Fog Machine", and "Always Like This", HVOB's interpretation of the track by British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club.

HVOB, who on stage perform live and with a drummer, are planning a European tour after the album's release. Venues will include: Paris (as part of Paris Fashion Week), Berlin, Zurich; further information: www.hvob-music.com
