The Barcelona-born DJ Aficionado, now based in Hamburg, draws inspiration from a diverse selection of labels including Hivern Discs, Smallville, and Planet Trip, to name a few. He has performed in various venues throughout the Hanseatic city and he has now found a cozy corner at Refuge Worldwide, hosting his show, "Francachela". In this show, he showcases music and guests close to his heart. His musical style is eclectic, spanning House, Balearic, Boogie, and Disco, or as someone wise once best described it, "Adult Dance Music". Reminiscent of a slow dance, a little touch of risqué perhaps, but most of all - fun.

Show #183 hosts Isolat, a collector and DJ originally from Peru.

Isolat's passion for electronic music started at the age of 13, and 3 years later he was already playing his own music playing with many well known artists in important events in Peru. 

His record collecting exploration started a couple of years ago with the aim of finding a fresh and timeless sounds from all sub gernres of house. With radio releases in UK, Romania, Slovenia, Chicago, Australia, USA and Peru in radios of the future, he is currently in constant search of what he believes is the musical evolution, investigating and being open to new electronic currents showing his dedicated artistic side through his podcasts or parties.

For his Bside Podcast he picks out some lower BPM house records that are 'away from the dance floor', enjoy!

This one I whole heartedly dedicate to LDL, and the ongoing musical inspiration they provide me on a daily basis.

Danny Vibe (@dannyvibe) is the co-founder of a party changing the musical landscape of Malta: Sunny Side Up. Since the first SSU in 2017, Danny and his fellow co-founder Luke (with whom he plays as UJ/DV) have established this Sunday party as an alternative offer for clubbers who want to go out during the day. Starting late morning and running through sunset into the night, the party combines groovy house music with outdoor locations and healthy food and drinks.

Previous international guests have included Ben Sims, Dana Ruh, Brawther and Carpet & Snare’s own Jorge Caiado. And in May 2024, SSU will be expanding to throw their first ever festival: Sunny Side Festival. Helsinki-based dj & producer DENZEL https://soundcloud.com/denzelmyman jumped in the HRD booth one Friday night, equipped with an FX unit and an inspired selection of heavy midtempo jams. 

Running underground clubs & festivals keeps the man busy, but he is a selector at heart – and you can hear that. The outcome here is trippy in the best possible way – bordering psychedelic at times. Effects are dubby, rhythms are chuggy and the tempos stay south of 110 throughout.

'By the early sixties, the song on the A-side was the 'hit' song that the record company wanted radio stations to play. The B-side would contain less radio friendly and less popular tracks. In our eyes the B-side is a true reflection of the producers taste in music, there is more personality on that side of the record'.
