His work curating label Club Derange and Skylab radio, as well as his illustrious deejay career both solo and with Waxo paradiso  is instrumental in making our Naarm scene tick. Someone we’ve personally idolised here at Neurocrank from his sunrise sets at Pitch to club nights at Colour, Simon’s sets have always inspired us to dig a little deeper. Helsinki-based dj & producer DENZEL https://soundcloud.com/denzelmyman jumped in the HRD booth one Friday night, equipped with an FX unit and an inspired selection of heavy midtempo jams. 

Running underground clubs & festivals keeps the man busy, but he is a selector at heart – and you can hear that. The outcome here is trippy in the best possible way – bordering psychedelic at times. Effects are dubby, rhythms are chuggy and the tempos stay south of 110 throughout.
