Intimate Publics, Osheyack’s second album, is an homage to Shanghai, the city he has called home since 2012. Over the past ten years the producer has evolved from an avid club-goer to a key member of the vital soundscape that emerged from ALL Club and its predecessor, the now defunct club The Shelter. As hinted by the title, which draws on American social theorist Michael Warner’s work on publics and counterpublics, the album expresses a commitment to mining the utopian potential of club music, forging new worlds and generating future social relations, just as the artist bids farewell to the city at a moment of uncertain transition. While tracks like 'Edging' and 'Thrall' continue to present his signature collage of harder club music, the rest of the record reveals a shift to synthetic approximations of acoustic instruments. 'Still', the central track of the album, is a piece composed almost entirely of samples found on Vocaloid (a vocal synthesizer developed by Yamaha, commonly used to give voice to Japanese virtual idols). While echoing themes explored in previous projects, like the nature of realism and authenticity in a techno-mediated landscape, Intimate Publics is charged with an unexpected emotional candor and vulnerability, unveiling a personal side Osheyack is only beginning to explore.

mess_ey es un proyecto musical difícil de encasillar en un solo género, nacido con la intención de crear canciones menos enfocadas a la pista de baile y experimentar con tempos más lentos, fusionando distintos géneros que apasionan al artista como el downtempo, el future bass, broken beat e incluso en ocasiones con el jazz.

“Tales From The Loop” se gesta durante un año y surge por la necesidad del artista a expresar sus emociones reflejando el difícil momento vital en el que se encontraba en el momento de su creación, además de tener que lidiar con la pérdida de Tina, una de las perras que formaban parte de su familia.

El resultado es un emotivo viaje lleno de melancolía en el que el artista se abraza a las luces y sombras del camino que tiene que recorrer en busca de su propia catarsis.

The first single from mess_ey's album "Tales From The Loop" is now available 🔁.

mess_ey is a musical project difficult to pigeonhole in a single genre, born with the intention of creating songs less focused on the dance floor and experimenting with slower tempos, fusing different genres that the artist is passionate about as downtempo, future bass, broken beat and even sometimes with jazz.

"Tales From The Loop" was gestated during a year and arises from the artist's need to express his emotions reflecting the difficult moment in his life at the time of its creation, in addition to having to deal with the loss of Tina, one of the dogs that were part of his family.

The result is an emotional journey full of melancholy in which the artist embraces the lights and shadows of the road he has to travel in search of his own catharsis.

We're proud to present URBAN MAN XL, the new alias from @yourplanetisnext , on Terminal. This project captures the essence of genres like happy hardcore, breakbeat, and early grime. URBAN MAN XL takes us to a distorted reality where early 2000s London and 90s Rotterdam converge in a high-energy, technically explorative sonic narrative, throwing us back to those dark, sweaty clubs where euphoria and chaos were the common tongue.

With production marked by wild downsampling and time-stretching, this EP channels the raw, visceral energy of hardcore and breakbeat into an unfiltered sound. Each track is an explosive piece, full of broken rhythms and saturated basslines, reminiscent of early rave experiences, but with a contemporary edge that makes it unmistakably his own. The narrative is further enhanced by an intergalactic war story between the "Frogtronic" resistance and "the free world" — a nod to DIY aesthetics and the sharp, acidic humor that defines the project.

The visual art for URBAN MAN XL, developed by Triss, draws from 90s graffiti, connecting with the jungle, hardcore, and rave culture. This retro aesthetic is combined with Dennis Vera's low-res DIY animations, evoking the spirit of those early colorful and minimalist raves. This EP is more than just music: it's a sonic manifesto exploring the limits between analog and digital, nostalgia and futurism.

Terminal once again proves to be the natural home for projects that refuse to conform, seeking to challenge the codes of clubbing. URBAN MAN XL embodies that attitude: frenetic rhythms, low frequencies, and a twisted nostalgia that just wants to tear up the dancefloor.

With „I DARE YOU II“, Xzavier Stone unlifted the veil: Removing the usual hard-hitting drums and pop structures he highlighted the meticulous sound design that has made up a big part of his signature sound. This culminated in a soothing and ever evolving 26 min soundscape. With I DARE YOU II (Interpolated Versions), the artist invites friends to re-interpret his sonics. Whether it's made up of one sequence or many; there weren’t any rules to the creation process. This open approach resulted in a variety of interpolations - featuring a vocal debut by American musician and DJ P. Morris, the Dutch duo KEY/GEN, Montreal’s producer and DJ Martyn “M.” Bootyspoon, Swiss producers and artists 2AAB, Kombé, Modulaw and Tobias Koch, french pianist Joseph Schiano di Lombo, genre-bending French producer Brodinski and Xzavier’s frequent collaborator Phillip Jondo from Cologne.

The name Xiao Quan sparks a question mark and confuses tons of listeners. His nationality, cultural background and behaviour are topics that everyone who knows him for the first time want to talk about. Those are also the themes he is more than happy to play with in his music. In fact, he has lived in Shenzhen, China for two years, when Oil Club wasn‘t even open.

Cultural symbols from Asia and Africa have appeared more and more frequently in world’s art scenes in recent years, although the status of self-consumption in content and consumption by the Western world is still unchangeable in a short time. As a producer from São Paulo, Xiao Quan’s "Connection" EP uses a generalized and concrete way to create cultural symbols as he operates them and make them sound normal and casual, which is impossible for many original creators of culture, especially in mainland China, which is almost derailed from its tradition now. Xiao Quan is just like us (Chinese people and producers), absorbing and using a large amount of information from around the world.

"Connection" EP is undoubtedly based on the Xiao Quan-style black humor, and the connection with the Asian and African culture he deeply loves. Unlike in the past, he really participated as a member of Asian culture through FunctionLab this time. From the first sound of "Rolling Barrel”, like the sound of a dragon coming out of the fog, drums from Asia and Africa came through and wore it to the end, warm and obscure. Does the rough Chinese vocal sample appearing in the track puzzle you? This is the voice that Xiao Quan doesn't understand very much but crazy in love with. The fun is self-evident. As for elaborate arrangements and superb production techniques, these have never been the case for Xiao Quan.
