Chaos Spire

Fiat Lux is one of our experimental Black Metal albums that never actually got released.
Back in the pandemic days, we had way too much time on our hands — so we made music, wrote lyrics, and recorded a bunch of stuff we’re now slowly bringing to life.

This one’s really close to our hearts. A good friend of ours, Nero, got stuck in Switzerland during lockdown and couldn’t make it back to Italy — so he ended up jumping in, co-writing a few tracks, and doing all the Italian vocals.

Massive thanks to you, Nero. This album wouldn’t exist without you.

The gates have opened. The cross has turned.
“Diabolic” marks the darkest, heaviest, and most blasphemous moment in The Black Cross’ history — a twelve-track descent into fire, rebellion, and divine ruin.

Across its molten landscape, Diabolic fuses the crushing weight of doom, the precision of groove metal, and the fury of thrash into one infernal mass of sound.
Michael leads as the voice of destruction and defiance — the fallen preacher who burns the scripture itself — while Lilith rises as the serpent queen, her haunting presence spreading through the ashes like temptation incarnate.

From the apocalyptic grandeur of “Inverted Faith” and the slow-burning menace of “Diabolic,” to the southern steel of “Turn the Cross Upside Down” and the tragic beauty of “Evil Spirits,” every song is a sermon of damnation.
“Demonic Possessions” sees Lilith take full control, a demonic force of nature channeling chaos and power, before the album culminates in the seven-minute requiem “Amen Infernum” — where the fallen king and serpent queen unite in eternal fire.

This is not an album — it’s an inverted gospel.
A book of desecration written in distortion and blood.
A war hymn for those who never prayed, and a crown for those who burned their faith.

Diabolic isn’t where The Black Cross ends —
it’s where hell finally begins.

“Thirteen Shadows” refers to the Yule Lads—thirteen mischievous troll brothers from Icelandic folklore who descend from the mountains one by one during the nights before Christmas. Each brings chaos in a different way: stealing food, slamming doors, stalking windows, or snatching meat. They are wild, unpredictable, and eerie—shadows of winter that hunt misbehavior in the dark.
