“Jetstream / R4 EP” is the third release from B:Thorough’s Textured imprint, following the ethereal “Angels EP” released in late 2020.

TXT003 sees Coyote Records collaborators Shayu and B:Thorough link up for their first dual release. Having bonded online through a passion for sonic experimentation, they produced the two-track EP across a 500 mile distance, with Shayu in Zurich and B:Thorough in London.

The EP opens with club-ready and hard-hitting “Jetstream”, a tale of two parts. Starting off with the interweaving of Shayu’s pixelated modular melodies with B:Thorough’s weighty 808s and jagged drums, the tune descends into a spine-shaking mid-section with thick, sliding square waves that cut like a knife.

“R4” is “Jetstream’s” euphoric antithesis. Here, the pair juxtapose calming, organic field recordings taken by Shayu in the Swiss mountains, with futuristic and bright synth lines, creating an emotive soundscape fit for a Sci-Fi epic.

domination.

Having shared tracks on Gobstopper Records and Murlo’s Coil Records Clu
has also released an emotive and forward-facing single in the shape of ‘Risky
Roads’ via Beijing’s S!LK.
Highlighting his ear for melody and penchant for experimentation, this
mix channels the UK underground whilst simultaneously calling on the
songwriting of America’s sadboi trap scene.

Islyz is a graphic and type designer, as well as a calligrapher, who creates the album covers for Bardouin Music.
When it comes to music, she mainly draws inspiration from the UK scene, as seen in her recent releases on Tsunami Recordings, Blue Night Jungle, Le Ciel, and Reptilian Business Records. Her sets offer a diverse mix of post-club and deconstructed music, catchy breaks, and laid-back rhythms, as well as introspective tunes with darker and more industrial sounds.

For its tenth release, 909 Connection is back with a 5-track EP based on an original concept. Taking Swooh's track Artificial Limbo as a starting point, 4 producers followed one another, each appropriating elements from the previous artist to create a cascade of remixes. 

After an ambient intro Patriarchal Himbo, produced by Islyz, builds to a powerful dancehall rhythm, culminating in a breakcore/IDM climax.
