This week we welcome accomplished Italian producer Nico Lahs, aka  Nicola Loporchio.  Hailing from Bari(Italy)he has been releasing deep, classy house music and high-quality sounds for over a decade on the likes of Ovum, Poker Flat and Rawax to name a few.

2020 saw the producer ramp up his output after a five years hiatus during which he focused on his Cosmic Garden alias and started his label Cosmic Rhythm, releasing in May “Freedom”, an LP of smokey vintage house,via Detroit born/Beijing based Adeen Records, to then issue a 12-inch via Brooklyn’s Dailysession Records and finally cap off this stellar run with an EP, “Blow Your Mind”, on Dan Curtin’s Metamorphic Recordings.

This year Nico Lahs released “Got Me Coming Back” on Jimpster’s Delusions Of Grandeur and “Make Up - The Edits” which is a compilation of hand picked 70s & 80s 39s featuring hidden dance, funk and disco gems compiled by Chez Damier which have been retouched and edited himself.

Louise Chen has been cutting her teeth as a DJ and promoter since the start of the 10s and has steadily been building her reputation as a keen record digger and club DJ with impeccable timing.

The Taiwanese-French artist uses her radio shows on NTS, The Lot and Rinse France to showcase the breadth of her taste, deploying a 'soul tearjerkers' special here and a 100 per cent gospel set there, as well as inviting guests like Mafalda and The Patchouli Brothers.

As she showed us last year, she brings only the finest-quality heat to the club with sets that invigorate dancefloors and radiate pure energy. The same goes for her tracks, as her burgeoning production career testifies.

Lumberjacks Tapes 022: Louise Chen

Bubble Fleischhacker, hailing from Slovakia, got firstly involved in music as a DJ back in 2009 playing mainly techno and minimal records and later switched to a bit slower and more gentle genres of electronic club music like house, deep house and minimal. Her love of music and music production course in The Losh Studio owned by the label boss Milos led her to the moment when she started to produce her own tracks. This seemed great move and after some hard work on her first tracks, she delivered her first quite extensive demo full of really interesting and unique tracks. Her first officially released track Magic was released on compilation Leporelo 2023 on label Leporelo with exclusive tracks by other Slovak artists NoT, Fezoy and Milos. And now, the journey only begins. Bubble Fleischhacker already started to work with label Earsdeep and there are more plans ahead. Her first solo EP with significant name – Me is coming out on label Leporelo on March 7th 2024.
