He has had releases on UK labels such as @bemorechildish, @carouseedinburgh and @reality-club and is a load of projects coming in 2021 to look forward to Shawn also was part of the Quest 808 Collective in the North East which pushed boundary breaking music at their long lasting party series.

The album aims to highlight and tackle existing genre conventions within electro and close sub-genres, most notably the use of vintage drum machines.

A wide variety of styles and drum timbres are present throughout the album to further showcase ways in which conventions can be broken.

From a technical perspective, Maurice chose to utilize less orthodox means of drum synthesis from Max/MSP to Physical Modelling.
