If there is one word that can identify DJ Bee its house, a sound that he has always been loyal to, never being tempted by passing trends. This sound has defined him as a person and as a DJ with the roots of house always present in his sets. He has become known as a radio DJ and producer wants to preserve what he sees pure in all dance music today.

DJ Bee and radio is an inseparable union that has played a vital role in his career showcasing his unique sound on Spanish radio with the program “House Time” and “Bee Live”. Both shows have been highlights on the airwaves demonstrating quality and good taste bringing together house from its early forms to what it is today. US garage from the early 90s, deep, soulful and Afro influenced house. 

One of his strengths in which a few DJs have in Spain is the capability to be consistent in his support for a personal and classic sound. What you hear on his radio shows is what you will hear in his DJ sets. He is able to demonstrate his creative personality when he plays transmitting his love for what he does and feel the music he plays. Bee has played all around Spain and had a long period as a resident at Love Show that allowed him to earn the love and respect of the crowds wherever he plays.

As a producer Bee has been building on a sound that he loves in the creative process as a producer. Generating the same passion and taste in music to be transmitted in all productions in what he plays. Labels like Urbana, Conya, Kings Of Groove, Soulstar among others have released his music. These productions have allowed Bee to be recognised on the International circuit to earn him respect globally and not only as a DJ in Spain.

Si hay una palabra con la que podamos identificar a Dj Bee, esa es house, un sonido al que ha sido siempre fiel, por mucho que las modas pasajeras o las tendencias impuestas apuntasen hacia otro lado. House auténtico, de raíz, con sentimiento, con alma. Así es el colombiano afincado en Madrid y así lo expresa en los tres perfiles que defiende de forma habitual: el locutor de radio, el Dj y el productor.

Una unión inseparable que ha cimentado la carrera del colombiano, que ha servido para predicar un sonido único en la radio española. “House Time” y “Bee Live” son dos oasis de calidad y buen gusto en el que Bee desplega todo su arsenal house en las vertientes más clásicas, desde el deep más mental hasta el sonido afro más percusivo, pasando por el soulful de diva y cóctel hasta el US garage de los 90. 

La faceta de Dj de Bee le lleva a ser uno de los pocos Djs de este país que es capaz de apostar por un sonido personal y clásico. Lo que suena en sus programas de radio es lo que pincha en sus sesiones. Pero además es un Dj entertainer, con carisma y que es capaz de transmitir lo que siente con la música que toca. Eso le lleva a tener actuaciones a lo largo y ancho de la geografía española y a haber tenido un largo período como residente de Love Show, una de las sesiones más relevantes de la zona centro.

Por último y no por ello menos importante, cabe destacar su faceta como productor, en la que emplea la misma pasión y buen gusto que en las otras facetas artísticas. Sellos como Urbana, Conya, Kings Of Groove, Soulstar, entre otros, han editado música del colombiano. Esa música le ha valido para que tanto el sector como el clubber valoren y respeten a Dj Bee como un artista global, íntegro de los pies a la cabeza y con una sensibilidad especial.

The Top International House Music DJ straigh out from Brazil

Charismatic, captivating and magnetic Thato “DJ Fresh” Sikwane, is one of SA’s most recognised energetic and dynamic voices of Radio.

DJ Fresh boasts a diversity of talents that have seen him making major waves in the South African entertainment industry for over 30years. He is a sought-after television personality, popular social media sensation, and prolific radio and international club DJ.

Born in Botswana, Fresh discovered his love for music at the age of 13 where he deejayed at Boarding School. He then went on to do his first radio show in 1992 on Botswana’s RB2. His passion for the entertainment industry then led to him leaving his law studies to pursue Media studies and Journalism full time in 1994. 

In 1997, Fresh joined regional station YFM – where he coined the term Yona Ke Yona - at its inception as the host to the afternoon drive, later switching to the breakfast drive in 2003. In a big and bold move, Fresh joined national radio station 5FM in 2006. This move solidified Fresh as one of the Biggest radio personalities in SA to date with a massive crossover and cross border audience. And now, in a shock move, Metro FM welcomed DJ Fresh onto the urban radio station as host of the breakfast show.

Throughout his entertainment career, his love of house music has pushed boundaries and led to the release of numerous classic albums including the popular “Fresh House Flava” series – which have been highly instrumental in the consumption of House music throughout South Africa. He has also been a lead influence on launching some of SA’s household DJ such as Euphonik; Cleo; Kent; Sbu; Monde; Ryan The DJ; Dino Bravo etc. 

His electrifying ability to mix house music has landed Fresh on International stages throughout Johannesburg, Miami, London, Cape Town, Moscow, Brisbane, Ibiza, Leeds, Durban, Gaborone, Birmingham, Dubai, Montreal and Melbourne where he shared the DJ booth with “Little Louie” Vega, Armand Van Helden, Oskido, Jazzy Jeff, Ready D, Vinny Da Vinci, Christos, Gregory, Black Coffee, Kshmr, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Dash Berlin, Headhunterz and Martin Garrix. 

Unafraid to always reinvent the game it is no wonder that Fresh has been able to branch out into various projects aligned with the entertainment industry and build a successful business structure under his name. As a multi-faceted personality, Fresh has efficaciously run his own company Big Dawg Productions; partnered with Euphonik to create the mega brand property F.Eu; and formed part of a collective of DJ’s, producers, media personality and musicians called DJU. Inspired by international conferences such as The Miami Winter Music Conference, DJU established the Southern African Music Conference in 2005 which held crucial talks for deejays and producers and DJs - it is a critical platform for Southern African dance music industry practitioners to keep pace with, and eventually lead global developments.

Apart from his contagious laugh being heard on radio and being seen on international stages, Fresh also lends his entertainment expertise to reality talent Show – SA’s Got Talent as a trusted Judge.
His loyal fans have continued to grow into the millions on radio and TV; and have followed his every career move. More so, fans have revelled in excitement as The Big Dawg announced his major move to Metro FM as host of the Fresh Breakfast this year. 

It is not surprising that DJ Fresh is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon as his career continues to grow at an exponential rate. Hilgard remains a music enthusiast whose diverse taste and eagerness to preach the gospel of House is reflected in over two decades of experience.

He remembers the Industrial Gothic Rock of his formative years, but a trip up The Playground’s staircase to Deviate changed the course of his musical passion forever. There he witnessed the foundation of House being laid. This was an opportunity to link up with like-minded people who wished to push the boundaries of dance culture globally.

It is the union of all eclectic elements fused together in dance music that he finds most appealing, and this provided him with the opportunity to be honoured as a guest selector on the “The Good Times” show presented by Dino Moran & Craig De Sousa. 

‘And there is just so much to share in dance music.’ It is an attitude that has seen him continue to set trends beyond the party - for Hilgard ‘the party has only just begun.’ 


Brought up on the world renowned Spanish island of Ibiza and influenced through his formative years by visiting House icons, Sebastian Gamboa started to develop his professional career in 1990.

Through high profile performances at Pacha, Privilege, Amnesia and Space he rapidly rose to a position of reverence as a pioneer of the Spanish House scene, and of course, one of the authentic figures of Ibiza´s legendary nightlife.

From 2002 Sebastian was the resident at the hugely successful party “Balearic People”. In 2006 he commenced a residency at Pacha Ibiza working with Def Mix on Saturday nights, playing alongside Frankie Knuckles and David Morales. This developed into his own weekly residency the following year with his increasingly acclaimed party at Pacha Ibiza every Summer.

Sebastian can be considered somewhat of a musical maestro, having released 12 records and 10 compilations, including “La Vida” in 2006, his collaboration with David Penn on Purple Music. More recently, Sebastian has released the incredible solo project “Muevelo” which was nominated by Deejay Mags Awards as Record of Year in 2008.

This accolade follows a series of nominations and awards, including winning the awards for Best Ibiza DJ at The DJ Awards 2007 and Best Souful & Deep House DJ at Deejay Mags 2009.

Now an international artist, Sebastian spends his winters travelling to the most exotic corners of Asia, Europe, Africa and South America showcasing his discerning brand of House music in some of the world´s finest clubs.

Buntu (UK & South Africa) is a foundation for a community, bringing together likeminded friends to encourage creative expression. Buntu provides a platform for musical artists, DJs and visual artists, vocalists or performers to come together and create something new.

Buntu recently in 2015 hosted various electronic music production workshops in South Africa showcasing various electronic music production, DJing and Live performance software and hardware with qualified tutors and established artists in the music industry. Watch out for future workshops! 

Connecting artists and encouraging skills development. Funded by Buntu creating opportunity for anyone who is interested in furthering their careers within the music industry.

We like to party! Our events sounds float with deep rolling, percussive, tribal and tech house sounds also exploring the roots of house and techno accompanied by various artists jumping in with live instruments or vocals plus bringing in cool visual artists and VJs.
 
Samantha’s aim with Buntu is to explore new creative ground and hopefully awaken an interest that will see artists of all forms coming together to create an experience more than an electronic musical event. For upcoming nights we can expect more underground DJs, themed, live, vinyl, arty nights and events with a strong visual influence.
