The Next Best Thing

Hailing from rural Parke County, Indiana, Buck the Tyrant consists of guitarist/vocalist Clint Hicks, bassist Mario Zanandrea, and drummer Casey Lamb.  The trio have been life-long friends attending thirteen years of school together at one of the smallest public schools in the nation.  After high school, Clint Hicks studied guitar at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA before coming back home where the three teamed up with frontman Rob Young to form Oakcliff Road.  After a successful year with Oakcliff, Clint moved on to spend almost two years in Germany attempting to get a project together, as Mario and Casey joined Verus, a popular yet short lived band from Terre Haute, Indiana.  In the summer of 2012 Clint moved home, fluently bilingual and with a new found passion for vocals, and late in the year the three got back to their roots and reunited as a trio with Buck the Tyrant.  Being friends since kindergarten and playing together in multiple projects has had an amazing effect on the members, and the chemistry and pure, simple fun they have together onstage is unmatched.
