'Wait by the Water' was recorded a few months ago at the theatre de l'Athénée in Paris with the gifted violinist Jasser Haj Youssef.
I wrote it after having finished Between Dogs and Wolves album with the live show in mind. I wanted to sing something that would work as a way of tuning ourselves into the right frequency in order to listen to quiet and intimate music.

Following the events that occurred in several countries and closer to us in Paris and in response to the media and community’s reactions, we have decided to gather around between friends and record a version of Los Hermanos, written by Atahualpa Yupanqui, to advocate the importance of being united. Hatred breeds hatred. War breeds war.

En reacción a los recientes acontecimientos sucecidos en en numerosos países  y más cerca de nosotros en las calles de París y a su eco en los medias y la sociedad civil, hemos decidido reunirnos, entre amigos para grabar una versión de Los Hermanos de Atahualpa Yupanqui, y demostrar lo importante de quedernos unidos. El odio engendra el odio. La guerra engendra la guerra.
