"Love is convincing the most beautiful person in your life that their smile is worth tomorrow, even when yesterday told them it wasn't enough. It is about trying and failing, but realizing the work itself is more important than the product. Love is sharing your last gasp of air because, in the end, you know you didn't grow tired alone. Kendrick Washington aka "Chief" was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado, birthday on May 9, 1992. Chief started his music career in December 2007 with a group he joined named "Bone Deep" with artist Cazpa, JayTriiiple, & SCK. Eventually the group split and Chief began his journey. Not taking music serious until after he graduated from Rangeview High School in 2010. Chiefs biggest musical accomplishments are being featured on Coast 2 Coast mixtapes hottest in Colorado Vol. 1 & 2. 18 year-old Atlanta artist Yung Bans, who is heavily influenced by the South Florida scene and often considered a key contributor to the sound, has made an impact with a slew of solo tracks and collaborations with artists including Smokepurpp, Lil Pump, XXXTentacion, Ski Mask The Slumpgod, Playboi Carti, UnoTheActivist, Yung Lean, and Wifisfuneral. Despite being on house arrest, Bans persevered, turning his home into a studio where he is currently putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming mixtape, Blood Thirsty.

A3C Volume 7. A3C Volume 7 marks the seventh year that the A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution have joined forces, continuing the highly-regarded series. 

The A3C compilation series has been influential within the genre, serving as a barometer to gauge which artists will become renowned staples in the ever-changing hip-hop landscape. For this reason, the compilation has seen praise from various outlets including Apple, as its editors raved, “the A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”

This year's compilation will continue to spotlight the genre’s foremost emerging artists with approximately 50 tracks from the newest generation of hip-hop's torchbearers.
