Inspired by the music of Rabih Abou-Khalil, I have been listening to and writing a lot of music using flavours found across the globe. Here is an improvised trumpet melody over a drone.

This is a Benjamin Clemantine cover. I'd never heard of him before, and this tune just spoke to me. This is the first song sung in quite a while by me...  Yeah I have some work to do, but I like the expression I can convey through voice. what a story!!!

Here is a cover of a cover....  I heard Jamie Callum sing this and loved it. I later found out that it is from Mary Poppins returns. 

What beautiful words. I will spend time on this one getting the pitch better - but just want to document progress.

The place where the lost things go

2020 has been a strange and painful year. But this tune has a beautiful message for us all.

"Smile" is a song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for Charlie Chaplin's 1936 film Modern Times. Chaplin composed the music, inspired by Puccini's Tosca. John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954.
