I have been a teacher since 1984 and have been concentrating on music education for many years. I think the way children respond to music is wonderful. Their playful influence shows up in my music everywhere. In the  two Minor Key Albums, 'Rockin' In The Pet Shop' and 'What Can We Do?', most of the songs were written with kids who are a source of unique, profound and spontaneous language that comes hard to adults. Writing songs with kids is a joy! The Minor Key band played libraries, farmers markets, youth rock festivals (its a thing) and many regional stages. We even opened for the School of Rock (like in the movie but real) 4 times on big stages. 
The Minor Key Youth Music Programs (non profit) did work in the community to make music (specifically folk, rock and country) available to children in the schools, at regular 'Youth Rock Concerts", The Minor Key hosted local teenage bands inviting them to use our stage equipment and play live. It was a direct line from the garage to the live stage for kids! The MK lasted 12 years and served hundreds of kids in a variety of ways and they all ROCKED! Several former MK members went on to be adult musicians and music teachers.
Also included in this collection is my earlier album, Children's Song Garden which includes the regional hit (with children), I'm Not Scared, which is a gothic song of fear and ghosts.
