GANNEIN Invited by Pygments | A 4-Hour Afterparty Opening  | Recorded Live at Glazart, Paris FR

An extended opening session, weaving exclusive unreleased productions with a raw, textured selection to construct the night's foundation.

This recording documents that process in real time: four hours of reading the room's energy and guiding its momentum from the first arrivals into the depth of the afterparty. The set unfolds across four decks, concluding its final thirty minutes on a condensed setup as the main room was reconfigured for the exterior stage. The recording is complete, capturing the full narrative save for the final ten minutes, which were ceded to facilitate this technical transition.

With his first EP on Token, Phara conjures up four tracks detailing dancefloor impact with robust personality. In ‘Second Skin’, the Belgian artist is eager for resolution, keeping tension high with the bold analog sound he’s known for. Coming eye to eye with the label’s sound, Phara pays homage to Token while fiercely defending years of artistic direction - layering the label’s astral ambiance with his unstoppable movement.

‘Second Skin’ sets Phara’s intentions clear. The titletrack rolls forward like heavy machinery with what seems like shifting vocals breathing life into the stereo image. This first cut is a gold standard of peaktime production, creating a sense of purpose at the core of urgency. Claps and rides boom and whip around the track that lumbers on with chord stabs to add soul to flare. ‘The Ring’, however, takes the listener into another direction. Heavily centered on the drum sequence with a sharp slap-back delay, Phara plays with resonance, sparking psychosis amongst movement. Playful in the short term, ‘The Ring’ proves to be an ultra-hypnotic track reserved for a set’s high intensity stretches on an already surrendered dancefloor. Taking this energy and pulling it in, ‘Neon’ comes to establish a bit more intimacy at first. Here, the producer diffuses his elements into themselves and, in turn, creates a thick ambiance that drives the record forward in space and dissonance. ‘Neon’ is inquisitive and almost spiritual in its effect, playing with the line between a unified dancefloor and an introspective journey. The conclusion to the EP is ‘Blood’, a return to dryer production - at least in the beginning. Ambient, almost psychedelic synth work sucks in the listener over unwavering energy to create a closing track worthy of its name. Rolling through to the end, ‘Blood’ delivers the final blow to an insatiable record on Token by Phara.

Birdy is a Barcelona/Paris based DJ. Initially influenced in 1989 by the U.R. parties in Detroit, his inspirations now range from Deep House to Techno. His style can be defined as eclectic, deep and uplifting with tribal, ethnic and percussive notes. Established today in Barcelona where he teamed up with Cerïmonia, a multidisciplinary movement and community interested in the possibilities of co-creation and the transformative power of music, dance, wellness, art, ritual and togetherness. 
As far back as he can remember, he has always been deeply moved by music. As a storyteller, he believes that beauty lies in contrasts and his sets aim to take you on a journey through dance and emotions.

Djs, producers, selectors.. Budé Room is a concept for electronic music lovers. At the beginning we all have been hooked by Techno music in 1991. Artists like Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath, Mad Mike, Dj Hell, Slam, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Maurizio, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke and his glorious electro sets, labels like Underground Resistance, Fnac Music & FCom, Harthouse, Djax-up Beats, Strictly Rythm, Gigolo, Kanzleramt, Innervision, MusicMan, KMS, and many many more. 

We've been moved and thrilled all these years by their creativity, their sensitivities. Now, we want to say thanks to those artists, and show that we understood what they built and how we want to move things forward our way. It's all about telling stories. Strong stories, exciting stories, beautiful stories. 

Long story short : we started clubbing and djing in the early 90’s. Then followed 20 years of nightlife (mega-warehouses/city-nightclubs/free-parties/glorious-nights/blah-blah), we LOVE electronic music from the very beginning, and we definitely LOVE partying together. 

In the beginning of the 2010’s (when not at Rexclub), we've spent 3 years rumbling and raging in a small condo in the very heart of Paris (rue Budé), with a huge sound-system, strong stone walls and terrified neighbours. And, as we hate all the hype ego-trips and star-system around many electronic artists with more social image and viral videos than good tracks and vibes, we called our private friday nights the “anti Boiler Room”. Budé Room was born, and since then, we spread the world (ok, let’s say Paris city for a start). 

After striking residence in Leopard Café, then 4Eléments, we started the Budé Room Radio Show, first on Deep Kulture, then on Line Out Radio, where we like to invite our friends (#Technofamily, you know who you are...) and any french or international artists we love. We also regularly host our friends from Take Hit Records, Drøm  Ørigin, Data Musicalism, RGS Collective, Binary Cells, our brother-label Volphonie, and many others.

Oh, and some of us are into boxing and martial arts. Kickin' n'boxing, heavy beats and frontkicks : we like it hard, carpet bombing, massive assault ; but we are a Gentlemen Club, and dig the whole music spectrum... Electro, house, electronica, funk, groove, jazz or experimental are like madeleines we share. All with sincerity and honesty, some fun, and french private jokes (miserable ones). We hope you will enjoy our music as much as we enjoy playing it !
