On December 12th at 2 PM, Noisecapes hosted a live broadcast on Radio Raheem from Triennale Milano, featuring EPRC (Elisabetta Porcinai & Roberto Crippa) reimagining their debut LP BODIES (Stray Signals, 2024) in an innovative performance blending voice and electronics.

The set explored the essence of the radio medium, distilling the live performativity of the body into sound and voice. The body, present yet remote, evoked a tangible tension of absence. The album’s compositions were presented in a raw, fragmented, and minimalist form, weaving a seamless stream of consciousness.

Listeners experienced an otherworldly soundscape where sparse synth textures intertwined with ethereal choruses, percussion, and spoken word. The result was a sonic terrain both barren and saturated, haunting and intimate—a desert of sound.

EPRC, a collaboration spanning Berlin, Milan, and London, was born from improvisation and rooted in the duo's unique artistic journeys. Together, they crafted a distinctive language that delves into sensory perception and inner landscapes, merging poetry, instant composition, and sonic synthesis into a singular auditory experience.

Old Lady Vibes (Gena Storm, Vocals)

Intro

Tou Shy was born so shy that she refused to even meet herself in the mirror for the first five years of her life. Instead, she crafted an entire world of imaginary friends who, coincidentally, were all incredibly talented musicians. From a young age, her bandmates encouraged her to make music—but only in the comfort of her closet, where she performed sold-out shows to an audience of stuffed animals and, occasionally, her skeptical cat.

At the age of 8, Tou Shy finally gathered the courage to show her imaginary friends her first song, and they gave it a standing ovation (well, as much as imaginary friends can stand). Encouraged by their silent support, she began creating tracks in secret, it only took her decades later to debut her first album in 2022.

Tou Shy still insists on texting her imaginary friends for approval before releasing any new music. And if you listen closely, you might hear their whispered harmonies in the background of her lo-fi tracks.
