This month Diana Denisova aka Discka is launching her own show on TESTFM called "Eight dates". For each new episode she will be selecting strictly eight tracks from her personal collection and combing them into a single canvas. Each time providing a thorough tracklist, making it easier to find a specific track, and if you want, further look into  the artist or label. There will be some favourites and some incomprehensible, perhaps even unfamiliar tracks, often abstract, sometimes danceable and sometimes not. Thank you in advance for listening and feedback.

Carrying on with the momentum from DJ Panthr's excellent Source Drift EP, we here at Sound Transitions are proud to present a wildly reimagined soundscape in the form of a heavy hitting Remix EP. With remixes from Selfhood, Quelaan, Dpcld, and more, the EP takes material from DJ Panthr's bag of tricks and spins it into something else entirely.

Starting with Slefood's slow building, emotional interpretation of "Liquid Light" with its stuttering drums and laser focused melodies to the head-spinning rhythms and rumbling low end of the Pinz & Pelz remix of "Source Drift" to the delicate deep house stylings of Memphis Glass to the abstract, wonked out IDM of 88b's version of " Shadow Realm" and finally arriving at Dpcld's featherweight, aqueous drum and bass version of "Liquid Light" the EP is a thorough journey through all of the dark corners of dance music.

Each producer brings their own unique voice and style to the already great tracks that DJ Panthr provided. They take the originals to new, unknown places in and around the dance floor. These remixes keep you on your toes and keep a smile on your face.

Atoraye is the project of electronic and multi-instrumentalist Geo Kotanov, resident of Kruzhok Radio, member of KLU project, producer and co-founder of Formless fm. Inspired by the new Middle Eastern sound of the capitals of Egypt, Lebanon and Iran, Geo creates his own ornate post-oriental language. Geo's Assyrian roots give his music a distinctive flavour. 
Rough and spacey dub-techno, moving into deafening noise and leftfield, which moves seamlessly into soothing, depressive droning and fragile ambient. It's all filled with whipping percussion, looped chants in Semitic languages and mystical oud playing.

Dark matter, oriental sound, UK vibe, some broken rhythms and even the premiere of a new track (comming soon almost)

The Red See

Scuba Death is Ricardo Donoso's alter ego. With more of a focus on analog sound, percussion, sampling, and location recordings, there is an organic undercurrent on Scuba Death recordings that isn't as prevalent in his solo work. This music is rich in atmosphere while still tethered to the deeper ideas that Donoso often explores in his work. Treatises on fear and death­anxiety, the underlining thematic framework for the project, run rampant throughout these claustrophobic electronic passages, and teeter on the edge of being oppressive. 

Nitrogen Narcosis marks the first full length and strongest statement in the Scuba Death repertoire after the privately issued, ruthless ‘Demon Seed’ twelve inch back in 2011. The album alternates between surprising lethargic dance inflections all nestled between 75 & 100 bpm, the normal resting heart rate for adults, and the more conceptual, numbness­inducing pieces like "50­-70 Meters" and "Nociception." Sequencing plays an integral role on Nitrogen Narcosis as the listener is suddenly thrust into the darkest reaches of the ocean after dark alley grooves are sucked into an aquatic abyss. 

For a project named after Donoso's near­drowning experience in the South Atlantic when he was younger, there's an impressive amount of reflection & vulnerability present – the field recordings that permeate throughout the album were captured at the same location the undertow caught hold of him that bright Summer day 20 years prior. An inner battle between paranoia and euphoria is played out in well­conceived, precision sonics on Nitrogen Narcosis as Donoso reminds us to look back, break through the surface and go deeper. 

Ricardo Donoso's solo work speaks for itself, but with this new chapter comes new questions and considerations. Scuba Death is enigmatic to a fault and all the better for it.

Gael is a project by artist @gaelabakarova, a native of Dagestan who recently moved to Kyiv after a long stay in Odessa, where she participated in various music initiatives, taught DJing, and organized music events.

Gael's Tightmix 10 includes works by experimental producers in various fields: industrial sound master Anna Funk Damage, versatile Frenchman Emma DJ, AIR LQD, whose track was recently featured in the Metaphore Collectif compilation, and many other producers exploring the darkwave, slow and mediative rhythms.

Cold wave, minimal techno, electro abstract, avant- hard, hardcore techno, break core, IDM, EBM, Death Rock, punk Rock, New Wave,Dark Wave, Ambient, MiamiBootyBase, SpeedBase, Dub, RagaMuffin, Dubstep, Industrial, Noise, Experimental, world beat...did I forget anything?  Neophyte, for sure, and these are all my newly found treasures, that I have dug up from around the world.  One day I will produce some tracks again, until then, I will spend every minute listening to all the newly found gems!
