The background drone and interment sighs are pure Voltage Modular while the melodic elements use two instances of Dreamsynth both controlled with MIDI data also generated by Voltage Modular. One of the Dreamsynth patches is entirely my own having been built from a blank template and thew other is a modified preset. Other than mastering there are no extra effects.

Everything was recorded in a single "Live" take.

A few weeks back I did an hour long 'Midnight set' at The Night Cafe, a really cool alternative venue in Aldgate in London. This is an hour of mostly improvised modular techno and progressive house, performed from right outside the ball pit.

This track was sitting in my drafts for a long time. It’s about my depression and ADHD — that feeling when you look at the world through dusty glass with flies on it. There’s so much sound around, but everything just passes by, and I’m sinking into myself.
Made with modular and analog synths, drum machines (both hardware and software), and old female vocal samples I once recorded in the studio.
I wrote it just to let things out — mostly for myself.

Another practice set from my home studio. Was in the mood for some slow building prog and techno, slowly warming things up. Goes a bit more Underworld at the end. All improvised as usual.

Actual studio is a bit of a box room at the moment after moving house recently, but I've got enough room for the live gear and that's most of what I need really!

I'm primarily a visual artist both 2D and 3D, for the last decade I've operated almost exclusively in the digital 3D realm.   since the late 80s I've made periodic forays into the sonic world, MIDI sequencing, minimalism, musique concrète, found sounds  and improvisation. I am seldom happy with anything and seldom consider a piece finished.
