On the flipside of LUV013, brazilian producer and one half of “The Rimshooters” ROTCIV lays down two complex yet dancefloor oriented house tracks. “Old Good Luvin’” is a soulful house hymn that pays tribute to synth driven early italo and classic chicago house. ROTCIV intertwines the different styles to create his very own blend of deep house.

“Just Take Me Higher” evokes similar feelings but has a slightly darker touch to it. Eerie John Carpenter-esque pads contrast the punchy bassline, eprom drumbeat and organ stabs to create a mood coming straight from an 80s elektro joint.

“Deep Down”, the digital bonus track, shows ROTCIV going all the way to 90s Jersey house. Synth stabs and a shuffle beat are the key elements to this track.

Bufi returns with a single announcing the arrival of summer. Inspired by youth-travel with his friends through the pristine beaches of Mexico in the early 2k’s, Mateo sings to us about a life where tomorrow doesn’t matter; what matters is to have fun, Here and Now. This is a characteristic vision of a latin american teenager, back when you could still be on the road in Mexico without having to fear narco. Now, at a time when the debate on legalization of drugs is a national issue, Mañana tries to remind us that many people have used psycho- active substances to live positive, enriching and unforgettable experiences. The single includes a beautiful and nostalgic remix by Mexican project Salón Acapulco, as well as a funkier version by Portuguese prodigy Moullinex.
Bufi is the solo project of Mateo González Bufi, a producer from Mexico City. After releasing on Kitsuné, Record Makers and his own Duro, Bufi is now about to release his second album through portuguese label Discotexas, run by Moullinex and Xinobi. Mañana is the second cut from the mexican producer new record, right after the charming first single Cosmoattack was released back in february. This EP included a blasting remix from Mijo and had support from names like Tiga, Sasha, Ewan Pearson, Anthony Pappa, Sanfuentes and many more. Revelación, the artist sophomore record, will be available in digital and vinyl autumn 2016.

Hailing from Tel Aviv and now living in Berlin, Moscoman's released warped, weird, and wonderful house on labels like Correspondant, I'm a Cliche and Eskimo. He currently finds himself part of the squad over at ESP Institute, the NY based label run by Lovefingers.

With an LP on the way for ESP, he's decided to give us a little tease with this fantastic three tracker. The guys over at the label tell us that the title track's " an optimistic dancefloor-filler that rides a disco rhythm, full of odd-ball percussion, over a swollen house bassline as we’re lead through clusters of synthesized mating calls via infectious melodic whistling." Which is all true. 

There's a pair of typically far out remixes on the B-side from Peaking Lights, and we reckon these'll be staples for anyone out there who enjoys watching the sun rise through eyeballs that feel like they're about to explode.
