Berlin producer Robot Koch is back for his third full length release, “The Other Side”.

Although Robot Koch has an international reputation as being "One of Europe`s finest producers of the beat generation" (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker… “(Post)-dubstep infused Electronic Hip Hop“ is far too constrained a label to understand what this producer is all about. Instead of following the sound of his previous albums “Death Star Droid” ("Essential listening" - Bobby Friction BBC) and “Songs For Trees and Cyborgs“ ("Music for a modern age that has rarely sounded so good” - Boomkat), Koch takes the genre defying ingredients from these previous records to another level. There still are some of those “Galactic ten ton beats and space age melodies“ (Dazed and Confused) that made the previous albums staple drops in the playlists of Mary Anne Hobbs, Starkey, Daedelus and Gaslamp Killer to name a few, but there is a new dimension to Koch`s production and songwriting that didn’t show on his previous records.

The cinematic vibe of tracks like “Nitesky”, the quirky and moody feel of “Bugs” and the electricity of “Tapedeck” show how Koch more than ever manages to create intimate and timeless pieces of music that are soulful, deep, mysterious and that will appeal to fans of cutting edge Electronica and modern pop music alike. This is the most personal record of Robot Koch to date. Instead of going for big name features Koch teamed up with lesser know artists like Kansas based vocal talent John LaMonica, long time friend and theatre composer Nielson and mexican singer/songwriter Graciela Maria to find the right voices for his compositions. John LaMonica infuses his whimsical and heartfelt melodies that breathe an air of darkness and nostalgia with Koch`s fresh and forward thinking instrumentals to create something that fans of Radiohead, The XX and Jamie Lidell should not sleep on.

”I`m glad John contacted me, we were thinking of collaborating on one song for my album but it ended up being five songs, they were all fantastic and helped me find the right direction for ‘The Other Side’.”

After the release of the John Robinson collaboration album (“Robot Robinson” – Project Mooncircle) earlier this year, it seems surprising how extensive Robert’s output is, but don’t be mistaken, this album is a longer term project than just releasing the songs Koch made in the last year. Some of the songs found on “The Other Side” were made seven years ago.

”I didn’t know what to do with songs like ‘Bugs’ back then. Now it felt like the time has come to release them, they just made sense with of the most recent stuff I’ve been making and it all fell into place. But it was not an easy album for me to make. The previous albums just came together rather quick but this one was a real mission, something I’ve been trying to do for years and I could never really get it together until now.”

Legendary John Peel (BBC) knew in 2003 already when he said about Koch`s productions "Wonderful and strange, pop music from the future“.

Four-piece surf rock band The Van T’s, are back with a bang as they get set to release their reverb-drenched single Fun Garçon, out on 25th November via Bloc+Music.

2016 has been a breakout year for the Glaswegian surf-rock band having released their EP A Coming of Age to critical acclaim in July. Gaining premiere’s on Huw Stephens BBC Radio Introducing show, Noisey, Consequence of Sound and Clash Magazine the band’s name began to resonate from the UK to the US and beyond. 

Now, the four-piece look set to pick up exactly where they left off with the release of single Fun Garçon. The track encapsulates all the great elements of a band who exude talent way beyond their youthfulness; relentless guitar washes over the listener like the sound of a crashing wave, as the duel vocals of twin sisters Hannah(guitar, vocals) and Chloe Van Thompson (guitar, vocals) amplify the diner-like retro feel the song already has all fused together beautifully by the tight rhythm section headed up by Joanne Forbes (bass) and Shaun Hood (drums).

The release of Fun Garçon will complete what has been a wonderful year for the band. Support slots with Yuckand Rat Boy, who personally chose the band to play, were followed by a stellar festival season which saw the band play T in The Park’s BBC Introducing stage, Electric Fields, Wide Days and Stag and Dagger. They also picked up further support form the likes of The Scotsman, Beat Surrender, Backseat Mafia, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing Scotland, where they recently performed a superb live session, and culminated in a nomination at this years Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

Fun Garçon by The Van T’s is due for release on 25th November 2016 via Bloc+Music.

'Celebrate Life' is the new single from Las Kellies taken from the new record 'Friends & Lovers' out now on Fire Records. They tour Europe from November.

Forming in Buenos Aires back in 2005, they debuted with ‘Shaking Dog!’ (2007) and concentrated on ensuring their prominence on their home turf first. They independently released second album ‘Kalimera’ (2009) that took inspiration from Devo and ESG – at this time the group ventured on their first international tour. Soon after they joined Fire Records releasing ‘Las Kellies’, a 7” split of ‘Erase You’ featuring both ESG and Las Kellies versions dropped with their last full length ‘Total Exposure’ following in 2013 and EP ‘Dubby Exposure’ (Crang/Rastrillo Records) a year later.

On ‘Friends & Lovers’ Las Kellies are Silvina Kelly and Cecilia Kelly. They will joined by their newest member and bassist, Manuela Ducatenzeiler, who tours with them across Europe in winter 2016.

Teen Daze (Jamison Isaak) is a British-Columbia based artist and producer. He released his fifth LP Themes For Dying Earth on February 10th through his new label, FLORA.

After last year's foray into vibrant indie-pop, Themes finds Teen Daze returning to more ambient, electronic production with new insight: "I learned so much from the experience making Morning World, it would be a step backwards if I didn't apply it." This comes through in songs like "Lost", "Rising" and the first single, "Cycle", which fuse the synthesized sound of early Teen Daze records with the live energy of his more recent works. Themes is also distinct in its collaborative nature. Jamison has worked with other artists in the past, but never to this degree and expanse: "Making the last record alongside other people helped me realize that inviting additional minds to the creative process brings out the best in me."

Conceptually and thematically, this album is one of Jamison's most personal, navigating topics both intimate and broad: "Much of my work is inspired by nature, and it's scary to think that future generations may not have that same relationship. The album starts with Cycle, a song about my personal experience dealing with anxiety and depression, and it slowly zooms out to cover some of the external forces, like climate change, that are affecting those experiences. After touring last fall, I came home so cynical and worn out, I decided take all the nervous energy I had about the world, and filter it through more optimistic, positive sounds."
