My new track "Acid Workout" is out on this amazing VA - Acid Mutants by STALL on Soundblasting Records.

I wrote this track back in June 2023 specifically for my Natarja festival live set. By that time, I was starting to go regularly to the gym and actually liking this whole workout thing, so the track, as its name suggests, is pretty much inspired by crossfit, weight lifting, and cardio. And if you think about it, dancing to a high BPM psychedelic track isn't only an act of meditation but also a really nice cardio workout.

When it comes to sequencing this track, I heavily used three synthesizers: Pigments by Arturia and Vital by Matt Tytle for the majority of the structure, and for the contrast element, which in this case is a smooth squelch, I used the MicroFreak by Arturia with its super silky SEM-inspired filter.

Suduaya is a french guitarist and producer. After many years working on different bands (heavy metal, rap, ethno/world/fusion) he released in 2011 his first psytrance track on the Klopfgeister’s compilation “Stand up against gravity” (Iono Music). He joined Altar Records with his album “Dreaming Sun” (september 2011), followed by “Unity” wich came out in 2013. Many releases came up over the years on different labels, including BMSS Records, Y.S.E and recently Iboga Records.

Suduaya has been playing worldwilde, S.U.N. Festival (Hungary), Summer Never Ends (Switzerland), Psy-Fi (Netherlands), Spirit Base (Austria), DOOF Festival (Israel), Tree Of Life (Turkey), Utopia Boom Landing (Portugal), Hadra Festival (France), Ometeolt (Mexico), Trimurti (Russia), The Experience Festival (Thailand), Transition Festival (Spain), Forest Star Festival (Sweden) among others...

It took me a longer time to get it complete but yeah, Vesuvius VA compilation is finally ready to be released :) I've been selecting tunes for the whole past summer 2016 till now, to reach this blasting result: "explosive psytrance" expressing the real power of nature as well as the power of a Vulcan, so conceptually close to the power of Shiva God, cyclically destructing and recreating life. Vesuvius is the name of the Vulcan in Napoli, my native land. It is the first thing I look at every morning out of my window when I wake up and it became the source of my inspiration for collecting the music I currently like and play in my djset around the world. As well as all people living here at the bottom of Vesuvius is aware everything may instantly disappear in case of eruption and so developed special chromosomes to face difficulties of everyday life, I felt a very deep connection with our local nature according to the challenges I had to overcome in my professional growth in a country where anything is easy and where human and cultural values are often just used as marketing tools rather than being spread and shared as inner living practices. I strongly thank all artists involved in this project who confirmed once again the trust on my attitudes and appreciating my musical vision as Dj and more as psychedelic music chronic maniac. All the physical copies will be out with biodegradable digi-sleeves according to Sonica Festival’ sustainable activities in order to reduce the production and the consume of the plastic.
