@maarje_music and the Love Foundation performed for the first time together at Château Perché Festival from our friends from @perchepolis-label in 2019. As part of @eigenklang she mixed her juicy music one night in the middle of our lovely yurt.
For this Lovecast @maaje_music prepared a set for all those, who just woke up from hibernation and slowly want to get in motion.
This smooth downtempo mix was recorded on freezing but sunny days at her homebase "Anwesend" in France and accompanied by Masmeen on the Cello."

Surprise DJ set at Lichtung!
We were booked in to do a Sound Journey at 8pm at Lichtung on Sunday, but the floor was soaked and everyone was cold, so I thought, let's do a dance journey.

Maybe just 2 hours of a boogie and get warm. What happened next was a 4 hour dance off that rocked our night. This was a fun free for all!

Amid a world in flux, where violence is rampant and uncertainty roams, music and celebration can create spaces of solace.

This live set was recorded after Ayla Schaffer opened up a prayer for peace at Garden of Light in Ibiza.

We then celebrated and brought up the frequency of light and love to elevate our spirits together.

I hope you enjoy this set featuring Daniel Puccio on the saxophone and Kaio Moraes on the violin!

no need to rush when everything is an elevator

Welcome to a little challenge I created for myself.

In the coming weeks and months, I am going to record a mix for every set of ten BPMs starting from the 70s and ending with the 120s.
The idea is to dig through my library, being a bit less focused on the novelty of the tracks that I otherwise might be, and play around with slow and fast.

The rules are simple:
- Pitch up or down, but stay within the set of ten. Meaning the tracks in the 70s mix, start originally with 7x, and nothing above the line of 80 is allowed in. (An exception for this specific episode: anything between 0 and 79.99 was allowed here)
- Only use what's already on the hard drive. No hunting for new music specifically for this.
- The mix should be at least one hour long.

So... 
We start on the low end, with what my guess is was the toughest of them all. I don't have much below 80 bpm, and somehow those tracks are often strange, glitchy, perhaps not meant for a dance floor or mixing but for individual listening.
It took effort, but in the end I think I got through it. And wow I love the energy of these sloth tracks, particularly in the second half of the mix.

I hope this little trip will be to your liking - see you soon(ish) for the 80s.

Friendship: This is the theme from this set. <3

Without the support from our loved ones, we wouldn't be able to go further, to grow and challenge ourselves. 

Last year, I took the decision of starting to produce music, with no idea of what would come of me. Mostly of the tracks here, are authored - I still have waaay to go, that's why I would love your feedback :)Some strange sounds for sure, some research into voice and how to make use of it are the experiments of this set and tracks. (It's a bit different from what I usually do for sure :P)Thank you so much Garbicz festival for supporting this adventure and @billy-caso for your patience in teaching.  

 The sound from the last song (from Danilo Timm) was taken from a video from a dear friend of ours, recorded from the audience, so is not the best quality BUT in this case, I'd say that this set wouldn't have been so special if it hadn't ended that way: tears and a celebration of this friendship that lasts now 13 years and was the start of my journey to Berlin. - So I had to include it. 

Thank you to everyone that shared this very emotional moment in Seebühne and Dan, thank you for this beautiful path that we share for so long. Thank you João for your time to make the concept outfit specially for this gig.

Abtauchen in Zeiten der Krise

Gibt es eine größere Prüfung, als da unfreiwillig eine Distanz wahren zu müssen, wo man sich nach Nähe sehnt und einander braucht? 
Wie sehr spüren wir es in diesen Tagen der Krise erst? Wie beugen wir dem vor? Hier eine kleine musikalische Geschichte des Abtauchens, die euch Nixe vom heutigen Tage an mit diesem außergewöhnlich wundervollen Set erzählt:

In Ermangelung an Nähe und neuer Tracks, merkst du erst, wo drin du steckst. Ja nämlich da, dort in dir drin, wo du dich hörst und die anderen sind. Aber welche nun? Na alle die, die dir so fehlen und die du liebst. Drum tauchst du ab, in alle Zeit, in der sich viel von Vielem zeigt. Schwelgst also so, rein in den Tag, wie er sich dir entfalten mag. Bis dann auch du so langsam merkst, von wieviel Wert du dich ernährst. Ja was dir fehlt und wo du sonst, in deinem Leben Halt bekommst. Doch darin, dort, da halte inne, der kleine Sinn, der zeigt sich dir – auch dich zu sehen, ist in seinem Sinne. Drum lädt er auch stets herzlich ein und fragt in sich und dich hinein:

Transância S01E01 — Preliminares [izyk y zira]

After a long summer filled with music, open airs and different gatherings, this was my last festival of this very special season. 

It was my 3rd year at Ponyhof, in the wonderful Schloss Schönow, and I am so grateful that I was invited again this year. 
Due to the pandemic, we were gathering only outside in the garden and the whole program had to be adapted. I was playing the sunset slot on Friday evening, after we all reunited in the garden and shared a potluck with friends I haven't seen for a while. This was just perfect <3

Because of the timing, I could start my set with softer tunes to accompany the dusk, and slowly get into groovy and more dancefloor oriented sounds while entering the night. 

This set contains a lot of tracks I carried with me this whole summer.

Hello friends, the episode of this month is mixed by Raute_K, a Stuttgart based DJ, who has been spinning for 8 years now. Over the past few years he developed a deep love for downtempo music. To help the scene grow, he recently co-founded a music collective www.soundcloud.com/schleichend to create own events and podcasts. He loves all kind of downtempo styles but mostly driven and dark melodies with a touch of melancholia. In his sets he looks more for danceability rather than chilling out. Before the lockdown, he was able to set foot in the door of Stuttgarts nightlife and regularly played events with established artists such as Frida Darko or Acid Flora. Got up at noon with a hangover. The place is cold, the coffee is out and outside there is sleet at around one degree celcius. The bread is dry, the muesli consists only of crumbs.  What now? I hear the finest sounds from my roommate. :) 

Something dark, something rave, something hypnotic, then slow again! Cool mix! The day is saved!

Temple Haze's music is an ever evolving and ever changing tapestry. From his roots in Blues and Gospel music to his explorations into modern Trip-Hop, Ambient and Organic House; Temple combines his spiritual journey and abstract songwriting in a unique world of beat production, creating a deep and intimate musical cornucopia.

Temple started his journey into music on the road, hitchhiking around the US and Europe, working on organic farms, living an off-the-grid lifestyle, busking on the streets and finding his way as a vagabond. After nearly 4 years on the road, he moved to Berlin to settle into the vibrant artistic community.

Since then the Washington, DC native has been making waves in Berlin’s electronic music scene. Temple is also known for his collaborations and features with Oliver Koletzki, Sepalot, FEATHERED SUN, Sam Shure, ulises, narou and Bakery

Temple also dives deep into sound design and immersive soundscape production. As co-founder and musical director of Soneiro Collective he creates unique, immersive sound experiences, portraying the best of his universal knowledge and empathic feeling for creating sonic worlds.

Now, Temple set's his sight on a new blend of organic electronic music with his long awaited next EP: An Opening Within. Out now!

Bummela is a South African-born and Berlin-based electronic musician. He has traversed many musical genres throughout his career, playing in various band projects, one of which ultimately saw him come to Berlin. At first the only way he could survive was making music on the streets, and it is here where his love for improvisational loop-based music developed. He is an improvisational musician, seeing music as a language, loving conversation with others, valuing interesting statements much more than polished arguments.
“Bollemakiesie” is the Afrikaans word for a summersault or a roly-poly, or a “Purzelbaum” in German. It is a playful physical thing that is in its very nature a loop. A Bollemakiesie/summersault/Purzelbaum is an infinite cycle folding back on itself, and so too Bummela is a loop-based musician in awe of the trance-like states induced through repetition. Whilst cutting his electronic music production teeth working as a composer and sound designer for film, these are the early days of a new project still finding itself. Bummela’s music is sonically explorative, psychedelic, warm, and wild. With a deep love of sampling sounds of all fidelities, he is on the path of discovering electronic music’s power to recontextualise moments passed through mixing analog synthesis, sampling, and live performance.
