Simone and Gabri are long term friends who share the same musical passions, so perhaps it was inevitable that they would eventually join forces and launch a project together. Producing under the artist names of Aki Bergen & Richter, this all Italian duo’s strengths lay embedded in their abilities to complement and inspire each other. 
Both artists have enjoyed exploring a wide variety of genres over the years and each stemmed their initial love of electronic music during the 90’s European techno movement.  Since then, they have spent time fine tuning their producing, composing and DJ skills. Aki and Richter’s common attraction to anything with a deep groove or melodic sound, has provided them with a foundation in which to streamline and empower their new partnership with. As individuals, they have both accumulated many years of experience in the music industry and possess unique qualities that signify their sound and individual flavour. Some of the artists they have worked alongside include, Dubfire, Noir, Miguel Migs, D.O.N.S and Shara Nelson from Massive Attack and they receive support from heavy weights such as Marco Carola, Ame, Richie Hawtin and Dixon among others. 
Aki and Richter’s momentum from here, is to forge a complete union of minds, one that will drive the duo to produce an entirely new sound and one that which draw upon both their individual assets. Both artists see this partnership as a culmination of their creative influences and a tribute to their matured passion for electronic music. Together they are driven and inspired to bring you their best sounds yet. The project aim is to reflect and convey aspects of themselves through their music, with the intent to imprint you with a lasting impression and a burning desire to hear more.

Berlin-based duo Booka Shade, aka Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, have carved out a reputation as one of the most celebrated electronic acts to come out of Europe over the past two decades. 

With their beginnings in Frankfurt and their sights originally on synth-pop, the duo Booka Shade quickly gained a strong following within electronic music, and in 2002 the pairing formed the now legendary dance label Get Physical Music (together with M.A.N.D.Y., Thomas ‘DJ T.’ Koch and Peter Hayo), where they would have a platform for their own music. 

Three years later, in 2005, their EP’s ‘Mandarine EP’ and ‘Body Language’ - the latter co-produced with M.A.N.D.Y. - launched Booka Shade into the stratosphere with both EPs becoming international successes, whilst the following years soon welcomed an extensive body of work featuring a combination of stand out albums and singles that quickly achieved further global success.

Since their break-through performance at Sónar in 2005, Booka Shade have earned huge recognition with their innovative live shows, even being named one of Resident Advisor's Top 5 live acts in the world in 2010. They have opened for legendary acts such as Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk, whilst headlining stages at the likes of Coachella, Glastonbury, Rock Werchter, and Red Rocks just to name a few. In recent years, the band has appeared amongst the likes of DJ Mag’s ‘Alternative Top 100 DJ List’ (2018), whilst their notable live sets have led to key mentions amongst a host of distinguished festival reviews and round-ups, including placement within DJ Mag’s ’10 Unforgettable Sets From The History Of Exit Festival’.

Booka Shade were also inducted into Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Hall of Fame, having received strong support from the station throughout their careers, playing at both the ‘40 Years of Radio 1’ celebration with Annie Nightingale and the ‘20 Years of Essential Mix’ party, whilst also mixing Pete Tong’s ‘All Gone Ibiza’ compilation album. 

The duo’s fan base is in no way restricted to electronic music enthusiasts, with great success playing slots at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Lollapalooza, and more by utilising their massive crossover potential, which is as evident in their billings as it is in their remix credits, including acts like Depeche Mode, Moby, Hot Chip, Kings of Leon, Woodkid, The Knife and many more.

Add to the mix their Blaufield Music imprint, founded in 2013, and it’s clear and easy to see the pairing's musical knowledge not only as producers but also adept A&R’s, with releases to date on the imprint from both emerging and established talent alongside their own productions resulting in a string of releases and collaborations that can be regularly found amongst the upper end of Beatport’s Top 100 charts and championed by many of the industry’s biggest names.

Twenty years, dozens of EP’s and six albums later, Booka Shade have become more than a household name, they have become synonymous with the spirit which drives electronic music and have set a precedent to which electronic music is still held to today.

When Babak started going to his first house parties, the likes of Beatport and Facebook hadn't even been thought of. Babak was 16 years old when he became infected with electronic music and subsequently got his hands on a turntable. He then began to seek out the latest releases at the record store and also by asking local DJ's the identity of the tracks that had kept him dancing late into the night. Eventually the second turntable made it into the equation and he started to mix records. His first gig came at age 17 and proved to be the first of very many. Ranging from a series of self arranged events called Nocturnal Affairs with international bookings, residency at Copenhagen Jazzhouse, Cape Town Jazz Festival, Ballentine's world Tour, Copenhagen fashion events and currently a residency at the well renowned danish deep house mekka TS-bar in Copenhagen to name a few.

Babak is well known for an eclectic taste in vinyl material that can only come from true and honest propensity to party. His sets are always surprising by mixing old school music with the new productions. Whether it’s sadly forgotten 80’s acid cuts, the tough kicks of early-'90s boom bap and the sultry, heavily swung rhythms of classic disco or the freshest productions this persian/danish deep house aficionado seamlessly weaves these elements into his signature; sexy, dance floor friendly beats with an electro-esque pulse that’s sure to keep the heat rising.

Slowing down since...

Rasmus Backhaus is a Copenhagen based dj, who has been around for quite a while now and he is one half  of the dj duo Angebot. 

Even though his main influence and inspiration comes from Berlin, he spent his first four years dj’ing in metropolitan Barcelona back in the year of 2001, playing venues such as Macarena microclub, Apolo, La Paloma and Le Kasbah. He moved back to Copenhagen in 2005 where he quickly became a strong contender among the Danish dj circuit, dj'ing mainly at Vega Nightclub and at the now closed and legendary open-air venue, Luftkastellet. 

In the summer of 2019 Backhaus hooked up with friend and colleague, Bow Miller, and together they created Angebot.
Angebot is the result of their common interest and passion for world music and deep-driving downtempo.

These days he wants to play less, but good so to speak. Choosing only venues with the soundsystem and good vibes that he likes, such as Werkstatt, Hangaren and his all time favourite bar in the centre of Copenhagen, Log Lady

When dj'ing, Backhaus is all about connecting with the crowd, so that he can do what he does best; playing nice and deep mid-tempo electronic music, that leaves you bouncing and filled with warmth.

Lulu Rouge are finally back with an amazing new album. The Danish duo has spend the last 4 years in the studio, perfecting the songs and tracks for the forthcomming album "The song is in the drum". You will soon discover that Lulu Rouge has been busy working on a bigger and even more heart and soul penetrating sound than last time you heard them. This time featuring much more vocals next to their trademark dark dubs and strong instrumentals. Wick-it the Instigator is a multi-genre DJ and producer known as a breath of fresh air in an otherwise over-crowded EDM scene. He merges the likes of mashups, hip-hop and electronic to bring together a unique sound that you are bound to enjoy. In the last few years Wick-it has had the opportunity to play festivals like Summer Camp, Wakarusa, Camp Bisco, Imagine, Backwoods, Shambala and more. His SoundCloud page alone has garnered over 70K+ followers and over 30M+ plays. Impressive numbers like these helped land him on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart. This isn’t just a testament to his top-notch production skills, but also his keen ability to build and harness a highly interactive online fan base.

In 2012, Microsoft recognized that direct audience connection and chose Wick-it to produce a song for their Windows 8/Angry Birds: Star Wars commercial that they blasted to millions of prime-time viewers. Even before that in 2010, Big Boi of Outkast picked up his mashup project ‘The Brothers Of Chico Dusty’ which helped projectile his popularity. To add even more fuel to the fire, in 2015 Sia picked Wick-it’s remix to be her official remix for ‘Elastic Heart’. Since then he has done official remixes for the likes of Kesha, ZZ Ward, KC & The Sunshine Band and Figure.

With successful headline tours supplemented by huge sets playing with Skrillex, Pretty Lights, GRiZ, Herobust and others, it’s obvious his talent and success extend far beyond the studio.
