Words about the mix.
Music touches me on many levels but I think more than anything it touches my heart. For me personally music has always entered my soul through my  emotions. It’s been my constant healer. I must say though I like to be moved physically by music and fully enjoy a solid and warm bass driving my body onwards.
So I guess you could say this mix is an emotional journey that you can dance to.
I was thinking about this mix for a couple of weeks and how I would approach it, selected some of my new tunes in a folder but then I had enough of thinking and just start playing them and going with the flow so as such you have some of my current selections and then some other tunes that appeared in the moment because it just felt right at the time.
I hope it feels right for the listener as well

We are delighted to announce our ninth release on Jane Musica, ‘Bombay Adelaide’ which is out this month, on June 25th. An enticing EP crafted by Mjane, co-founder of Jane Musica, For this second EP as a solo artist. Mjane is putting herself in the spotlight on her label with on unique track of atypical colour.


‘Bombay Adelaide’, feels like some kind of vivacious ritual with a strong breakbeat and rousing groove that will put you in a trance within seconds of hearing it. The sound is simply captivating, the beat and the percussions take you on a path of conquest, accompanied by a loop of voices that plays until the break and projects the most blissful shamanic ambiance.
The EP will feature a list of remixes done by a few notable underground music heavyweights. Up first is DaWad whose remix further enriches the already dominant and enthralling original track, also remixed by Maurice Kaar who takes the reins of the remix for this first curation on Jane Musica, and injects his wonderful musical universe into it.  The EP ends on an exhilarating note with Fausto He indulges us in a version that recalls the sounds of the 90’s, particularly the resonances of acid electronic music. .
The entirety of this ninth release is nothing short of sensational. Each track conceals an exceptional sound and style created by an outstanding and esteemed group of artists which we are privileged to have join us on this new journey with our label.

VUJO is a Mexican talent focused on expressing himself through deep and melancholic electronic music.

A music lover from an early age, influenced by artists such as Depeche Mode and Future Sound Of London, VUJO found himself involved in all kinds of electronic currents since the Psy trance boom on CD MX in the early 2000's, Tech House and progressive.

As the owner of "55 records" vinyl store in 2003, he entered the city's underground scene.

Currently with a renewed sound, his sets tell a story in perfect harmony with shades of deep, organic and melodic house.

Munich's Benjamin Fröhlich, co-founder of the Permanent Vacation label, takes his turn on one of the most influential tracks in electronic music: "How Much Are They?"

Originally released in 1981 on the album “Full Circle”, "How Much Are They?" is a genre defying collaboration between Dub wizard Jah Wobble and Can's Jaki Liebezeit and Holger Czukay. With the combination of Dub elements, punk bassline and drum machine percussion the track is a blueprint for electronic music and ahead of its time in many ways. No surprise, it quickly became a staple in clubs from New York to Berlin.

Through the years the track was a big inspiration for Benjamin. His careful cover version updates "How much are They" for today's dancefloors, while maintaining the original atmosphere. Originally his version was part of LAGASTA's 10-year anniversary compilation. Now it gets the official release and finds the perfect home in Glasgow's Optimo Music imprint backed up with two remixes by Chicken Lips and Daniel Bortz. 

Andrew Meecham and  Dean Meredith revive their Chicken Lips moniker, that was responsible for a whole movement of Disco-Dub in the early to mid 2000's, and prove that they haven't lost any of the magic. German wonder boy Daniel Bortz reinvents himself and comes up with a heavy bass-driven version that sits somewhere between Jungle, Dub and early Techno. Ok, let's go!
