The twelve-track album big bang of determined self-producing Swiss autocrat Kate Wax's dark electronic musical universe was mixed in sensitive harmony with new friend James Holden in his London studio, following which James seized upon the parts stashed on his hard drive to string two of the most club-friendly album cuts out into the dancefloor-optimised vinyl-only hedonistic symphonies you see before you.

Having played his way through the 1970s in various rock combos (Medusa, Nine Days' Wonder), Michael Bundt embarked on a solo career in the latter part of the decade, going on to release three albums which saw him explore the vast potential of electronic music. Delightfullly varied and typical of his willingness to experiment, his music orbits around Krautrock, Berlin School electronica, space-futurism and synth pop. "Electri City" was his last album. 'Emergence' is an epic, operatic, ambitious amalgamation between audio-visual show, scientific research project, art installation and IDM record, the debut release on Max Cooper’s Mesh label and his second full-length release.

The record was conceived as a soundtrack to a new series of 11 pieces of video art, each exploring a different facet of the concept of ‘emergence’. The full A/V live show will premiere at Mutek, Japan on November 2nd 2016. Together the work is a marriage between the cosmic awe of a Carl Sagan film and the musical wonderment of Sigur Ros, made for meditating on the mystery of our emotional connection to fundamental natural form.

Nascono come Skazz nell’inverno del ’79 con l’intento di fare punk. Dopo vari avvicendamenti e cambi di ruolo, si costituisce la formazione definitiva, che cambia il nome in Pyramids. In seguito vengono introdotti synth polifonici e sequencer che danno alla band un taglio più elettronico, mentre la cura del sound e degli aspetti tecnici dei live viene affidata all’amico Mario. Numerose le collaborazioni con musicisti dell’area veneta e nazionale, come molti i concerti e i brani incisi, due dei quali per le compilation “St. Anthony’s Fire” (Grillo Rekords, 1983) e “Rockgarage Compilation Vol.4” (MASO, 1984). Nel 1986 lo scioglimento, Ivano continua come solista, mentre gli altri proseguono fino al 2000 come Pyramids, con due nuovi elementi e con testi in italiano.
