The first edition of the Buriti Mix opens with an inspired encounter between two music lovers: Nemo, co-founder of Berlin’s record sanctuary @sound-metaphors , and João Comazzi , musician and sound explorer known for his wide-reaching sets that dance between continents and timelines.

This recording captures the opening hours of Buriti Festinha 2024, where the energy is gentle but magnetic setting the tone for something intimate, loving, and sonically expansive.

Expect heartfelt treasures, forgotten rhythms, and selections that speak in emotion, not genre. There’s no rush, just music breathing in its own time, guided by mutual trust, and an unspoken connection.

Volume 0001 is a love letter to early moments, slow builds, and the magic of sharing music with open hearts. The series begins here—with sunlight in the spirit.

DJ City came up in Berlin's pre-pandemic scene as a Cocktail d’Amore resident at Griessmuehle, launching an international career and releasing cult-favorite EPs via Public Possession. Rooted in late 80s new wave, house, and acid, his sets blend nostalgic references with contemporary sounds, chasing a utopian vision of nightlife shaped by early MTV and late-night radio. Now based between Stockholm and Berlin, he holds residencies at Paloma Bar, Radio 8000, and runs his own queer party, Bad Dad.

'The selection of tracks in this mix is meant to be a seasonal transition and as such finds its meaning in the moment in which it is listened to by imagining how many times the weather can change over the spring months.

Starting from this concept I focused on selecting all those tracks that I don't usually put on radioshows but that I play exclusively live and this was the real challenge since recently I have been increasingly finding myself in situations more dedicated to listening than dancing where the beatmatch gives up some of its importance to the selecta and the creative blend between 2 tracks.

One thing I have noticed in the electronic music environment these days is that bpm is becoming more and more an important topic to be able to immerse oneself in a dj set and I myself when i hear unusual rhythmic divisions or bold blends I feel stimulated to go into the studio and try to do the same.'

As Fusion Festival is around the corner and Berliners prepare for their pilgrimage to Lärz, we invite Oskar Linke to take over this month‘s episode of our Podcast series.

Born and raised in Berlin, Oskar Linke has been immersed in the city’s vibrant electronic club culture since the age of 16. Over the years, he has developed a sound shaped by iconic spaces such as Club der Visionäre, Hoppetosse, Heideglühen, and—perhaps most influentially—the record store Bikini Waxx, where he has been a loyal regular since 2014 and discovered countless musical gems.

In the midst of the pandemic, Oskar co-founded the label Cheap Fast Worldwide together with two close friends. Now preparing its fourth release, the label has become a home for divers sounds and collaborations of friends. Oskar’s productions—under his alias Felix—can be found on the first and third release, including the collab: Olli, Oski & EE.

In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, Oskar co-hosts a monthly radio show on THF Radio under the label’s name Cheap Fast Worldwide. Usually joined by his label fellow as Discount DJs, the show serves as a platform for showcasing their taste and inviting talented artists from the scene.
