From Atlantis to Interzone and back … welcome to a special mixtape that takes you back to the heydays of the vital 2000s indie music scene and therefore also marks a trip back to the first half of my 20s. This over two hours long set celebrates the high times of Indietronic, Nu Rave, Neo French House and that sweet spot where all those guitar-driven bands discovered synthesizers and dance beats or at least had themselves remixed by artists from that field. It was an exciting time and although I didn’t engage into the nightlife culture as much as I do today I really fell for the vibe and spirit of these tunes that were mostly carried by a hedonistic carefree character. It was a more innocent time, I guess.

“Never Be Alone Again” contains some personal favourites from my mp3 vault, including music by legends like Hot Chip, Cut Copy, Digitalism, Justice, Goose, La Roux, MGMT, Soulwax, Simian Mobile Disco and even Calvin Harris before he went full EDM in the years after. All tracks were released between 2004 and 2009 which I consider to be the best era for that sound. It’s a personal nostalgic joyride and you’re all kindly invited to follow it.

This is also the final part of that trilogy and that nostalgic deep dive. Maybe I needed that slightly narcissistic move as some form of therapy in order to move forward. I don’t know yet but maybe some of you will also find joy in this one as much as I did. Stay safe!

Legendary cosmic captain Albion returns to Lambada-land and starts this edit compilation with “Nucleare”, a robotic jam seasoned with Italian vocals which serves as a great introduction. 
  
Ric Piccolo’s “Disco teacher” on A2 and “Alright” on B1 are serious floor fillers, possibly ready to injure part of the Boston dynamics fleet after inducing uncontrollable dance moves.

At the end it’s Hysteric’s “Moment” on B2 that prompts a soulful side of italo for some deep machine learning.
