For those of us living in Sussex the Sunday night Tommy Boyd Show on Southern Sound was the highlight of the weekend. Listening with the radio under the pillow this show was far from your usual phone-in. With all the jingles sung live the gang of Tommy, Leggo, Stevo, Mary, Kath and Nicky helped us think once and laugh twice.

Regular callers Major Briggs, Jason Foster and Dixie entertained us along with trips to the Southern Sound health spa and a visits to newly opened nightclub the 'Fruity Cockatoo'. And, of course, there was Jason Foster's party...

Back in 1986 I intended to record just one show for posterity - I ended up recording almost 30. I knew it wouldn't last forever and once it was gone it was gone.

Transferred from old cassettes I've now put each show together as one continuous 3 hour broadcast. Just as it was. The adverts, and in some cases the news, have been left in.

So put your iPod under the pillow and tune in again to one of the most innovative pieces of radio ever to be made.

I'll be releasing the shows in broadcast order. Feel free to add people to the group. Enjoy :)
