Rabbi for fixed media was completed 15 years ago. This work revisits the image of a Rabbi with new insights and sound modification potential. When I listen to a Rabbi reading in Hebrew that is part of the ritual I  do not understand the Hebrews word but still take comfort in their implied meaning.  I listen for moments when the Rabbi speaks in English and hold on to these words.

ultimately, Rabbi Revisited is intended is a standalone fixed media piece or as part of a Video or dance performance.
 Upon the death of a parent a child is to go to the synagogue to say the Kaddish for a year. For whatever reason I could not do this when my father died  and have felt this is a painful loss all of my life. Tikvah, a one hour and thirty minute  chamber oratorio composed by me ends with a a declaration of the Kaddish, a way for me to finally properly mourn my father's death. . Rabbi Revisited is yet another way for me to properly mourn my father's death by featuring a reading of the Kaddish in both Hebrew and English.
