His research and teaching focus on applied ethics, particularly the ethics of artificial intelligence, practical philosophy, and the philosophy of technology. Currently, he is working on his fourth book, which will explore the ethics of AI. His previous works have examined Kantian ethics, the ethics of human-robot interactions, and the ethics of technology. Dr. Sven received his PhD from the University of Michigan and holds a BA in Philosophy and Music, as well as an MA in Practical Philosophy.
