Prof. Prithwiraj Choudhury, the Lumry Family Associate Professor at Harvard Business School, shares transformative insights from his debut book, “The World Is Your Office: How Work from Anywhere Boosts Talent, Productivity, and Innovation.”

Prof. Choudhury’s pioneering research on the Future of Work, particularly the shifting Geography of Work, offers valuable insights into how work is evolving in a digital and remote-first world. His research examines the productivity effects of geographic mobility, the barriers to geographic immobility, and the impact of remote work models such as ‘Work from Anywhere’ and ‘All-Remote.’ Before becoming a part of Harvard Business School, Prof. Prithwiraj held a position at the Wharton School. He serves as an Associate Editor at Management Science and was recognized in the 2023 Forbes Future of Work-50 list. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Development Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. His work has also appeared in Harvard Business Review and has been cited by major media outlets such as Freakonomics, BBC, Bloomberg Businessweek, CNBC, PBS, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, among others.

Prof. Choudhury holds a doctorate from Harvard University, in addition to degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. His professional background includes experience at McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, and IBM.
