The Metropolitan Soul Museum helmed Kulture Galerie returns with Volume 2 of its various artist-focused release series. This new 5 tracks compilation showcases some of the finest Dutch and American sound, all brought together by London’s own MSM.

Amongst the collection there is an original composition from lauded American artist and Delsin regular John Beltran (+ a special ambient version of said track available exclusively on Bandcamo), and more from Böhm (030303), US’ best kept secret Tramic, De Lighting’s’ own Nathan Kofi & RDS and of course the label bosses Metropolitan Soul Museum themselves.

Using the switched offsets of 2 Beast’s Chalkboards with the 4 built in assignable CVs of Pamela’s PRO Workout to control pattern and modulation jumps across all 8 outputs. 

The 4 switched offsets of 2 Beast’s Chalkboards are connected to the top 4 inputs of the Pam PRO, with the ‘Clock’ and ‘Run’ ins remapped as additional 3rd and 4th CV ins. Various parameters across all 8 outputs are assigned to CV to alter the patterns, pitch sequence, and modulation they produce. To create calculated jumps in the patterns and modulation, Pam’s per assignment offset and attenuation is used, setting a starting and ending state of each parameter for every 1V incremental change of a Beast offset. In practice this acts like preset states per parameter, creating a fun and highly performable way to control song changes manually.

This can foreshadow a dystopian future, or an infinite space with countless possibilities can appear before the mind's eye.

Loose Lips Mix Series - 453 - Planet Mina

Since TONE dropped his debut album last year ‘So I Can See You’ on Rhythm Section INTL to prominent acclaim, he has entasked his musical community to remix the album - namely members of the CURL collective. Formed in 2016 by Micachu, Coby Sey, and Brother May, they have performed together and released compilations from the likes of Lol K, Bianca Scout, Raisa K and others, who all feature on the remix album. As the version LP has taken fruition, Tone has played SXSW, Cafe OTO and 180 Strand, and simultaneously continuing his journey as a hard-working family man. 

TONE’s debut was filled with an ariose spoken singing style, post-punk tones and a back-to-basics production style courtesy of his 8-track tape machine - perfect elements for any remixer. With no specific brief, artists indulged in their specific visions. Trevor Jackson’s industrial dub aesthetic is brought to ‘Move Now’, his first remix since working for deftones’ ‘White Pony’ deluxe reissue in 2020. Stay Lo contributes a tribute to the early 10s ‘dreamstep’ with tik-tok friendly ‘In & Out’ remix and meditative chug from ‘So I Can See You Pt. 2’ by Coby Sey and Tone himself. 

The ‘So I Can See You’ LP represented cause and effect between his relationship with his own creativity and the emergence of his daughter, from pregnancy and beyond, and thus the remix LP explores the wider sonic variety of Tone and his musical compatriots.
